Why I Love the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus!

- The Nothing Phone (2a) Plus might just well be the best $400 smartphone out in the market. From its iconic design, to its incredible software experience. Nothing built a phone that was already great, but somehow made it even better. The Plus is the same exact dimension and weight as the normal Phone 2a, but with a slightly better, faster chip, the Dimensity 7350 Pro and also updated its front-facing camera to a 50-megapixel sensor. Everything else about the phone though, it's very similar. If you can't hold out for the Nothing Phone 3, this might be worth checking out. Check out my experience with the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus.

Minor improvements. I'll pass. Better get the 2a as it's cheaper. Nothing should have deferred this unit and just focused on the 3a. Just sayin'. 🤷♂️

@@HeyMarkL cant even buy it currently. Must have had extremely limited supplies. Which is mind boggling because its a budget esk phone and they need to sell this in bulk to make the investment worth it. Friggin ghostware at the moment

It seems that in the last few years the RAM offered on even mid level phones has shot up. I was used to seeing 4 Gb, then 6 or 8Gb and now it's 12. Is this rally justified? Is it purely game driven?

Almost any phone is better than a Samdung. I just wish they would have the same commitment to software Samdung does. Kind of crazy that the brand with the most offensive, bloated, jittery, piece of shit software skin is the one getting the most, and quickest software updates.

The audacity nothing has to say the 2a flexes better than the 865 is a blatant lie. I'm glad that I sold the piece of crap device, there is no shutter lag but the post processing EVERY single time you take a picture is absolutely infuriating even in the best lighting condition. I still have my OnePlus 8t and it absolutely shitts on the 2a slow slow post processing. Don't buy a 2a if it can't process a photo right away but claims and flexes it's CPU is better than a 865 , which is a damn lie.
To this day, I still don't understand how someone can play boring-looking smartphone games and have fun. Just get a decent PC for God's sake.
It’s almost like people enjoy being able to play games, on the move, using a device that’s always in their pocket. Imagine that.

I decided to get the Nothing 2a instead. I am amazed how good this phone is at this price point. It's runs smooth, interesting and the experience are great.

same, i got the 2a around 2 weeks ago, but thats because they didnt make the 2a plus available in the philippines up until now. anyway, im still glad i went for the 2a, the milk version is just ❤

This phone is what the original 2A should have been while the original 2A should not have existed. Plus the price is still on the higher side and if the camera was bang on then it would still have been a great value until then there are other very solid choices than this.

Perfect with 3% performance increase and *plastic finish with metal inside. This is a useless upgrade no matter how you spin it
well said mate! the 2a wow....stutter city lag lag lag judders throughout the UI how nothing is going to win rounds with software like this!!! I don't expect it to be like my s24+ but christ it's worse than touch wizz of Samsung old...
If this doesn't settle down then its worse than the pixel 6 pro I used (the worse phone ever...) lag lag judders stutters shocking !! the UI is tripe.
Typing is buggy as hell trying to type in empty space locked up curser fail scrolling down page utter dreadful to use.
Extremely over hyped it runs like there is no cache files choppy choppy choppy it runs like a windows PC with the graphics drivers missing....
And as for the finger print reader OMG dirt detected error on a brand new screen.... not recognised error I have yet to get it to work correctly the times it's caused apps to force me to enter my pin because it fails to recognise my finger print.
well done for increasing my chances of getting locked out of my applications thanks for nothing!! (pun intended)
It's less reliable than the front facing cameras on face unlock on sub £300 mobiles !!!!
I have never had issues like this with any finger readers this phone is diabolical.
The camera well its really is as bad as people say....the video has so many artifects its unusable.
Every time I try to reset the camera app google wants my location??? not only this but it's suppose to be bloat free it's injected with almost all of Googles bloat google meet, you tube music, google TV etc....and these cannot be uninstalled christ most if these can be uninstalled on Samsung devices that people slate for being loaded with adverts....

if in a week or so after buying it and it settles down I will retract what I say but for now I stand by my comment the 2a UI is utter garbage no bloat.....seriously?? its full of googles apps without choice to uninstall !! my Nokia from 2005 ran better than this plastic fantastic toy. I was shocked after buying the 2a I thought I may have a dodgy unit but after factory reset its still garbage camera ,finger scanner it never works its dreadful the battery is trash 2 day battery life that's a laugh it was on 17% after a full day my s24+ was always around 39% and it was charged only to 80% when I left home!!!!!!

Well funny you should mention this as I have just bought the one plus Nord 4 and In my opinion (people will probably comment otherwise with anything in a recommendation:)
But It's better than the nothing phone 2a and that is a fact... I have owned devices since 1998 so I've seen them all so I do know quite a bit 😉....
The one plus is smoother not a single stutter and the finger print scanner has worked perfectly out of the box ... and it's better than the 2a again another fact...that was shocking...and wasnt a one off......
At the moment I find honor devices good value I also like the oppo find x 5 pro...
I just gave my s24+ to my daughter.
But the Nord 4 was £429 I won't buy the 2a plus so I cannot comment but I have always bought flagships mostly some mid range handsets I can use some I think meh...back to my flags but I have had this one plus for about 2 week and I haven't had any issues that have annoyed me to return it !!!
@@ady2416 ok thx. I would buy the oneplus 12 if I need a new phone. Or Sony 1 VI but it's too expensive. But I prefer fingerprint sensor on the side which is sad because almost no one has that anymore it seems.

Love the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus! The display is gorgeous, colors pop, and it's super bright. Definitely worth considering. Also the Dimensity 7350 Pro chip quite promising one!

If they've made 2a 6.0" and 2a plus 6.7" then you can say there's a difference.

Really impressed with the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus! Great upgrades, especially the camera. Seems like an impressive one with the dimensity 7350 pro chipset in terms of the performance.

no, processor is a mid-tier at best. Need a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 to really play PS2 games smoothly.

Does it process the photos shorter on this phone, cause cameras are good but it took about 3s to process a photo which is a let down for me.
Haven't seen any issues with photo processing. But that could also be due to the fact they're still using Google Photos and not their own gallery app.

You said overall soothness and multitasking on the phone is good. Can you tell how much of a difference it is, compared to Nothing 2?
Use case: Social media apps, Maps, etc. Not gaming.
It’s not a noticeable difference side by side. But that’s always been the case with Nothing OS 2.5. Software and hardware works really well together.

Idk, imma stick with the 1 for now. But honestly I do really prefer the design of the 2a. Let's not kid ourselves though, the real star of the show is the software.
