Acrylic pouring: Fluid art
My pouring medium used for my current work is a pre mix of 70% “Mont marte clear craft glue and 30% warm water, (most pva glues can be made up with same ratios to make a pouring medium), I add my pouring medium to my paint slowly until I achieve the consistency of pouring cream, approximately 50/50 more pm if needed.
My paint brands mostly used are the Mont marte studio acrylics, dimensions, or pouring paints, Boom Gel stain.
When iv mixed my paints I add 2-4 drops maximum of Helmar silicone, also Australian made, I stir in well.
I always like to mix up my paints and add silicone the day before I’m going to paint, and cover with a damp cloth, as I have found I have much better results.

Wow.... I am not sure if you remember me my daughter has autism and she uses your videos to help her deal with being in the outside world. I left a msg a few weeks ago. I just wanted to say thank you again. Your videos have been such a HUGE help with us. Our state in the US is finally on lockdown which means no leaving our property or going for walks and the such. It has been such a majorly confusing and scary time for my daughter Randi, and once again your videos have come to the rescue. I almost think she can turn off the volume of the phone and STILL know what you are saying word for word lol. But truthfully I wanted to check in and say a HUGE thank you for the blessing you have been to my beautiful daughter and my family.

I was listening to you while I was working today and you were talking about some negative comments some trolls had said about you or your painting. They said something about you saying you paintings are gorgeous and you only like positive comments. All who watch you know that you don’t always need praise and in fact you show us your failures just as much as you show the beautiful paintings. One of the things I really love about you is your joy at doing your paintings. Sometimes you do something and it looks so much better than you anticipated and you have a kind of thrill in your demeanor and tone of voice and it is so cute to see you be so excited by doing what you do. You are kind of like a kid with a new puppy and there is nothing nicer to see than that. Quite frankly I love it when your paintings excite you enough for you to just pop out and say it is gorgeous. It is kind of like I told my daughter once when she was talking about genetics. I really don’t understand a lot of what you are saying but I am compelled to keep listening because you are so excited to share what you know. It is a kind of excitement that just makes you want to get all you can get. I think she was a little offended but I think you will probably understand what I am saying. Just keep on doing what you are doing so we can all enjoy it along with you.

I see place mats of these. They just need a couple of coats of epoxy to protect them. Very pretty, so feminine. I'm a girly girl and love things lacy or ruffled.

Gilly I love it as I usually do with all of your videos 😚. Just a question would Parfix Pva wood glue from Bunnings work the same as pva craft glue if used as a pouring medium? 😉
SUE ALLISTER I have used that in the last and it does work if you do a 70/30 mix with water as your pouring medium then add to paint as needed.
But far better is the mont marte clear craft glue 😃
Gilly Kube acrylic pouring art tutorials thanks Gilly. I have used it but the cells are very different than when using the clear mont mart. It seems to give a much smoother finish. That’s the only way I can describe it. Someone also said that their painting cracked but mine didn’t. I really appreciate your reply 😊
