Have you ever noticed that the early 'giant bug' movies usually take place in a desolate location? Desert towns, frozen ice regions, open plains... There were the occasional shifts of scenery, as in "Them" and "The Giant Mantis," and "Beginning of the End." Oh! And that last film mentioned? Can anyone top the 'grasshoppers crawling up photos of city skyscrapers'???
Did anybody notice the Attack Of The Puppet People movie placard in the downtown scene? Did the same company that produced this movie also produce that, so they were giving it some free advertising?
The lady: what should i do? A. Turn on the radio and listen to some song's B. Scream until the spider eats me Or C. Open the door and run away from from the spider I vote B. Doing A or C won't help me
Are you gonna tell me that the cop didn't have time to run away? Even before the car got there and he got in, the spider wasn't even close. Now the girl just should have just ripped that skirt right on off.
Maybe when you've got a SHRIEKING SPIDER THE SIZE OF A HOUSE bearing down on you, you dont behave in ways you otherwise might lol (oh and its a movie:)
Just a few more questions, that's what B movies are for, so we can ask WTF, Why in TF, and How in TF questions. It's a given that those who got killed could have gotten away, especially the janitor waiting for the damn thing to break through the wall, and the lady in the skirt...she was hot tho, but that was added for the scare effect. But how in TF that you can go to the same damn cave 3 damn times and get lost if you only travel about 30 ft from where you were at the last two times, they just couldn't backtrack? And why in TF are these high school kids look 30 plus? I know, I'm reading to much into it, but it's a B movie, I still enjoyed it.
I'm starting to believe that the person who made the spider "screams" didn't study zoology.

I actually did see it as a kid and mistook it for deleted scenes from Tarantula.
These effects still look pretty seamless. No weird choppy edge around the spider, or a difference in quality between it and the environment.

You're joking, right? All the spider scenes are sliced into the shot. And sometimes you can see through the spider! Very poor effects.
