Bingo, we didn’t know it at the time but that’s exactly what happened. It wasn’t fully extended but just enough to call a protest. It’s a beer can race every Tuesday so nothing came of it other than a learning experience.

First, how did he get the spinnaker _inside_ the jib, second, why is he using the guy (windward line on the spinnaker) to douse it?
The young woman should have been sitting windward and the crew should have doused under the jib on the lee side.
But I’m just a typical sailing know-it-all who is hugely envious.
