Wow Tory, that was phenomenal. It really is a privilege and joy for me to be able to hear your musical thoughts expressed through your guitar. The ease with which you can transition to another style or approach astounds me. By the way, I can't and have not stopped listening to Prius Dementat since you released it. I listen to it several times a day and absolutely love it. You're an incredible composer and musician and I'm grateful we live in a world where I can readily access content such as that which you shared here. Thank you. George Van Eps and his "lap piano" would have his mind blown were he still alive to listen to you.
"playing guitar like a piano", a dream for most of guitarists, was achieved by tory in such a brilliant way. let's spread the good news. we one-handed guitarists will keep waiting for a comprehensive manual, tory should teach at berklee as soon as possible!
Learn taps that's basically what she's doing. It's a bit different than how one would normally use the technique, but her use of the technique really shows her creativity. I've never heard taps used in this way
... looking back, these are like Doctor who "space logs" or something, I'm like "look at what I'm doing right now, don't you understand the stuff that I'm doing?". ..lol, what a weirdo.
Not really as much anymore.... It's kind of hard to escape the secret society eating curse, etc hints, always looking like s***, I guess it's part of their attempted control scheme network, LOL, or whatever...
That thing legitimately has a pretty nice nylon type response as well. It's not a synthesizer, it like takes each string and then transforms it individually into a nylon like sound.... I have no idea how it works but would like to know
Every time I think I have your playing figured out, you throw me a curve ball. Cool. I think it's great that you've garnered 13K subscribers without any of the glossy, polished (yuck!) RUclips video formulas that most YT guitarists (and everyone else, for that matter) use. Someone called you a "visionary". No disrespect, but I don't agree with that, as I don't know if there are any guitar visionaries any longer. I think you are wonderfully idiosyncratic, which is desperately need in a world of homogenous, 'following the pack' guitar players. Not just with your playing, but the way you mod or alter guitars, the way you use gear, your guitar setup, the whole cannoli. Oh, and your sense of time is *killer*
Hey tory, I am the guy who asked streetwise guitarist if he knew about you and told him to interview you. I am so glad that that interview happened ❤️❤️✨✨✨
5:00 this is great information for those of us who don't do touch technique to accompany the lead improv. "Starting and stopping" rhythmic figure allows grounding to the chord progressions . This is a great piece of info because most jobim songs have this rhythm .
I enjoy bossa nova now...I remember this song was played quite a lot I think in the 60s. I feel lucky to have found your channel and hear a talented woman play for a change.....I hope you continue to reach people. I found this on youtube and wanted to share. This is an earlier recording of hers...examples of her later work is widely available on yt too. ruclips.net/video/hxi_qliU3DE/видео.html
Ton son est incroyable ! Sommes certain que tu joues sur une guitare acoustique ! Bravo à toi, tu mérites de jouer avec les grands !!! Tu es fantastique 🤘
They seem cool, I don't know that I would really enjoy it that much or would want to spend too much time playing another instrument.... Now, if they just out of the blue sent me one I would definitely probably do some videos with it
A little confused tone-wise here. Is the first part of this video done with acoustic modeling or is it from the guitar pickups? Nowadays, It's hard to know what your hearing. So many gizmo's. Great playing. I could listen to you all day.

end section... wow! very nice.
Masterclass ! Would immediately buy a full album from you with stuff like this.
I have several albums out but it's mostly fusion and some jazz standard type original material
@@TorySlusher i take a look... 💞
The captions say "girl from epinephrine."
And when she passes, each one she passes goes AAAAHHHHHHHH
Something about that necklace tells me you're allot of fun in person. 😘 Master guitar player as well!!!
Man eater.

Thanks! This song is pretty fun to play, and I got a few ideas for embellishments from thisl
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Love this one, the playing and the nylon String tone

That was beautiful, what a great song to do!
Amazing
Special Notes

A big fan from Brazil.

It's done with acoustic modeling. That's the gk3 pickup
🤯
Hi Tory, do you mainly tap with just 3 fingers or does the pinky get involved equally?…..this is for the right hand…….thanks
No, I use all four, it's just that an overwhelming lot of musical patterns only require the three.... "the claw", haha
