- Join me for this demo where I share an easy technique to create using stencils and rust. The stencil used is my Zig Zag design from StencilGirl Products and the rust comes courtesy of PaperArtsy's Rusting Powder. This unexpected twist adds an organic, grungy, and rustic touch to your work.

Big thanks for watching Linda!!
That is so cool. Can't wait to try it. Thank you :)
Thanks for the video, Seth! I was looking for rust-colored ink this afternoon and you showed me how I can have the real thing! Amazing!
Thank you Seth!
Definitely trying this technique!
I’m going to try it! This looks awesome!
thanks Seth! What a great idea. Love the PA Rusting Powder and don't use it often enough
This looks like a fun and easy way to get rust onto the paper. I wonder if the embossing ink is going to hang on to the rust flakes, or is the iron powder totally dissolved and IN the paper rather than ON the paper? I am fortunate to live where stuff rusts if you just look away for a few minutes!
I think the powder ends up both sinking in and sitting on the surface. And much like rust from any source, it can flake off a bit.
@@SethApter Thank you, I will try it. It will be a lot more controllable than using rust water or trying to print with rusty nails.
Can you stamp with the embossing powder and get similar results?
Hey Jim. A great question and yup! It works really well.
Will this work on textiles?
It sure does Angel. You can do it on many, many surfaces with the powder.
