I am currently in a mental health facility and had a really hard day today as I work through my trauma and watching live court with Emily has been such a comfort to me. She is such a comforting presence and really makes my day so much better when I can sit back and not focus on where I currently am. thank you so much EDB

Hugs to you and you're not alone. Been through that myself. Hope you are able to get some sleep (I struggled a bit with that). But take the time you need and this community is very kind and a safe space so if you are unable to join live until you are out that's ok too. Just know we will all be here to support and encourage you if you ever need it during the day. Good luck and I hope you start feeling better soon.
Hi Emily
i am from india, i have no relation with Law. But your voice just comforts me.
I am a depressed human, and last night was heading towards a complete breakdown.
But i saw your live and put it on my phone and just tried to focus on your voice instead of voices in my head, and i was able to fall asleep.
Not saying your videos are boring, But me who has no intrest in law finds them very comforting
Thank you so much ❣
Hi Sonali. I’m so glad that any of my streams can be there chatting with you. Lots of our community falls asleep to my videos and I completely understand. I listen to books and podcasts to fall asleep too. I’m glad you’re here and thank you for sharing how the video helped. Take care of you and I’ll see you in the comments soon. -E

Him walking out during something so important is exactly what he did during the safety briefing… 👀
Alec: I need coffee immediately!
Sir, this is a manslaughter trial
Oh my goodness! I was in the city (Adelaide) waiting for a bus when this happened (on replay) and I'm jumping out of my skin with how shocked Emily was that he did this (and really, got away with it)!
I wonder if he took a timeout because he was about to flip out and brought the coffee back as a prop to try to disguise why he bolted.
Bleh, not sure if that helps him if true.
Either he can barely control his anger and bolted, or he needed coffee and walks in and out like he owns the place.
He's got to be a complete nightmare client for these lawyers who no doubt endured a lengthy hissy fit even though they tried to tell him they really need to prepare for Friday.
@@silikon2 Yeah even if that were the case - surely he would know you can't just leave court when you want to. I can't imagine the privilege it takes to think you could just do that! And yeah I agree.. he would be a terrible client. I can't imagine agreeing to represent him (if I was a lawyer, obviously). I guess lawyers are used to maybe not liking clients.. they have more distance than I would.
@@robyn_rainbow It is privilege. Why ever he wanted to go out, he couldn't wait the few seconds for his lawyer to ask the court? I mean, he's in his mid 60s, it wouldn't be unprecedented if he had to go to the restroom immediately. I don't believe the court would refuse the request.
Hopefully for his sake, his lawyers figure this out.
@@silikon2 Yes exactly. On one of the feeds (I watch so many I can't remember which one) - Runkle I think - he said he will tell a court if a client has issues and might need to run out or will try to organise a recess if there is enough time.
Was chosen for jury duty today. The judge said “the court room is extremely cold. Bring a coat or blanket, whatever you are more comfortable with” 😂 we are not in Massachusetts 😊
The scene scripts make no difference to me it was supposed to be a blocking scene so no weapon was supposed to be pointed at the time. I thought blocking means just to determine where the characters were supposed to be in the scene.
@Shellys465 It’s summertime 😅but being that the judge said that, I’d bring both!
@@shaz_am07 whether he was supposed to have the prop or not doesn't even matter, what matters is he discharged a loaded firearm without personally checking to make sure it was safe, breaking every single rule of gun safety, but most notably "treat every gun as if it were loaded until YOU check it"
@@moonasha yes that too I agree.
Hope you stay off social media while you are on the jury
I’m sure Signor Pietta was heartbroken to have Baldwin blame his family’s product for this tragedy. I would imagine he was more than happy to come and defend his legacy and livelihood.
Baldwin left to use the restroom - it was confirmed by Lauren Matthias from Hidden True Crime, who was in the corridor and saw him go straight to the restrooms and then depart and go straight back to the courtroom. The coffee cup was handed to him (not sure by whom) as he was returning to the court room. He was not told by anyone to get back into the court room. Someone else, present in the court when AB exited, confirmed to Lauren Matthias that Alec leant over to speak to someone on his team, presumably to tell them he was going to the restroom, and which I would think was explained to the judge by his team.
I worked in production for many years. Trust me, actors like him are treated like royalty. They get asked questions like... "What brand of water would you like?" Most of them are absolutely not mentally prepared to be treated like this. And he's about 10x worse than most.
Hence the coffee break and no one stopping him
I 100% believe you on this. The entitlement is real and can be felt through the screen

He can’t sit still
@@bzleo2003 he’s a smoker on trial for murder, it’s stressful.
And his very contorted face. Looks of contempt.
Baldwin's behaviour today is a perfect example of someone who has lived a life of privilege, never believing that they owe an explanation to anyone and that they can do what they want because they are more important than everyone else. Anyone else would have been accosted by a bailiff but once again, he gets special treatment. He acts like a spoiled little boy who's not getting his own way!
That's what I thought, too!! A spoiled man child! Too full of himself.
Yup. He was clearly fuming. If he can't control his behavior on DAY TWO, oh boy. If he can't control his behavior he's way more likely to get convicted and very likely going to waltz in max sentence just as he waltzed out of court today.
You can bet he's super angry that the state's team is two women, particularly Kari of course. And if the judge doesn't rule in favor of him on anything, he's going to despise her too.
To be clear, I think he thinks EVERYONE's beneath him, but oh I just bet to him women are even lower than that.
Misogyny or not, ultimately he's an Amber Heard that just got away with this attitude for 30 years longer.
And at least Heard didn't shoot someone with a gun 😂

Alec didn’t get tackled by a bailiff because he asked the bailiff before he left to go to the bathroom, then grabbed the coffee on his way back in. It’s not as good tea, but 3 of my friends are in court today and saw him OK it with a Bailiff and then the judge before he got up.
They saw Alec get the bailiffs attention and then the bailiff asked the judge and she ok’s it to the bailiff who then signaled to Alec that he could get up and go.
spiro looked very surprised tho to see him get up and leave
I agree he did. My friends said that the Bailiff was to Alec’s right, Spiro to his left, and it seemed like Alec got the Bailiff’s attention without even letting Spiro know what he was doing 😂😂😂
That's not how it's supposed to happen. The disrespect to the prosecutor who is trying to make a record is not okay. If the judge okay'd it, she was wrong to do so. She should have called a recess instead. It just looks like she can't control her courtroom now. I'm more inclined to believe your friends made assumptions and drew conclusions from what they saw, but who can say
@@Baqota oh ok understood. i really wish his lawyers to the right of him stopped him bc it’s not a good look at all.

That happened to me too. I am not a big fan
I still think she's insufferable. I did notice she's not arguing in front of the jurors when objecting like she did in Hannah's trial
To be fair, I would love spending time with her because I think she is great fun out of court. I think that you would want her on your side.
I truly believe Defence knew exactly what they were doing and played the Prosecution after knowing now what happened the next day.
Alec having knowledge that blanks could be lethal is probably going to be vital later when we get the rest of the footage of Alec firing blanks at people and yelling. It speaks to his recklessness on set.
Except for the fact that the two people who are responsible for checking the gun told him it didn't contain blanks.
@@garykidson4489exactly
Judge already ruled clips of him yelling at people on set will not be allowed. Who knows what they try to include
@@kaitlin4uthey should be. Goes to his lousy attitude!
Here’s the issue with that, though. There’s a difference between blanks and dummy rounds. Blanks are the “pow, poof” rounds, they still contain primer and contents that can be projectiles. Dummy rounds are completely inert. They are for show to look like a real bullet. When Dave Halls called “cold gun,” that means the gun has been cleared and only has dummy rounds. “Cold gun” = dummy rounds = not capable of firing and not capable of causing harm. A gun with blanks is NOT a cold gun, and wouldn’t have been called as such. So AB’s knowledge about the potential injury with blanks STILL doesn’t apply to his actions with what he was told was a completely cold gun, which was supposed to contain inert bullets not capable of firing and causing harm. And if his attorneys know what they’re doing, they will argue this point.

I am rewatching CST’s testimony in view of what goes down on day 3… Emily thought Kari was determining the pace of the race… Spiro knew he was swimming a 1500m not a sprint and he was actually in control the whole way. Fascinating in hindsight!!!! Would love to hear thoughts EDB now that you know what he knew during this whole testimony.
My kid was a mid to long distance swimmer and I get the 1500m vs sprint analogy and agree!!😂😂Well done Spiro! Carrie thought she had a slam dunk but nope nope nope😂😂😂

Hannah was guilty for what ended up loaded in the gun, but Alec pointed the gun at Halyna which caused her horrible mistake to reach it's tragic end. So...he shares guilt.

Replay crew 💜 Not being able to tell the difference between live & dummy’s is the cuts both ways IMO. That’s why you never, ever point a 🔫 at someone. 🔫 safety 101!
First and foremost there should never be live ammo on a movie set ever, that's the whole point of the rules and the safety protocols, that's why you have an armorer, in a safety manager in an armored is boss
Tell me rounds are made to look like real bullets, however there is zero. Gunpowder, and no primer,, or an already spent primer
Dummy rounds, are inert, but I made to look like bullets so the movie has authenticity, just like using the real weapons
Some dummy rounds have a hole drilled in the side or have ball bearings in them, now starline only makes brass casings with no primer, meaning someone made that bullet by hand.
Then you have blanks which have different varying amounts of gunpowder and the tops are crimped
I think he mouthed "i've had enough"...temper tantrum....
Emily's informative and colorful commentary made it fun to watch 😆❤
Alec Baldwin's attorneys are ... sucking big time. A guy with his money should have gotten better ones... but then again he had an armorer helping with other crap to save money...
You could not be more wrong.
Why did the defence go so hard after the crime tech? Still does not change anything that happened in the church. In the armorers trial the same thing happened, she was asked things she could not know, she did not need to know and out of her scope with not point to the trial….. Poor lady!
Their job is to confuse the jury.
Baldwin seems to think everything is just fine. “I’m a big shot. No way they’ll find me guilty”. That may be a mistake in his thinking. We’ll see.
Denial is a sedative
You could not have been more wrong lol
I’m not gonna lie, I’m loving Morrisey this time around. I really enjoy how she asks questions in a way that cuts off the legs of the defense. It’s like she’s thinking about the questions they’re going to ask and then she finds a way to disprove them before they can even be brought up. It’s so fun to watch.

Continuing to rewatch after the dismissal: Ms Popel “not recalling” anything and smiling throughout seems disgusting now.
Yeah I’m confused how it wasn’t pursued more since she was tech, why so hostile. Well now we know
Yeah and people were crying he was going too hard on her?
Love the kid saying "OK peace." 😂
the bing after the green ammo can question to corporal hancock sounded like a lie detector test saying "true ✅" 😂
Means Daddy - “ Papi is a colloquial term for “daddy” in Spanish, but in many Spanish-speaking cultures, particularly in the Caribbean, it is often used as a general term of affection for any man, whether it’s a relative, friend, or lover. The English “baby,” used as a term of endearment for spouses and children alike, is similar.”
And - “mami" is a noun which is often translated as "mommy". :)
I think Alec does what Alec wants
We will see how that works in prison
@@molliwilson5639or he had permission from the judge to use the bathroom and I'm sure he's crying at home caring about your opinion after his charges dismissed.
Watching the redirect on the London tube and I must look a picture, chuckling away to myself! The sass and the reactions are killing me!
On replay crew... here is my question... why does it matter who brought the bullets onto set or loaded the gun? Isn't the premise for the charge that Baldwin should not have pointed the gun/pulled the trigger, live rounds or not?
Marissa Pompell came across as actively against Alec Baldwin and his defense team. She even smirked at times. Too many "I do not recall" gave me Colin Albert vibes. I also found it strange that when asked if seeing an interview would help her remember and she adamantly said no. Now come on... we've all said that we don't remember ever seeing a show or movie and then 10 minutes in were like "Oh, Yeah! I did see this!" The prosecution needs to ease up or they're just going to make the jury hate them. The annoying Kari needs to understand that every time she continues to interrupt defense she's actually turning the jury against her. It not only looks like she's hiding something, but wasting the jury’s time.
