Thank you for this! By the way, you can click on the debuffs on the dummy to see the actual time and description of debuffs. This seems like it could be good with the new Barb essence that detonates any DoTs on targets.
Does this work with ground burn damage? Sounds like it can only affect debuffs with a timer on targets and ground damage doesn't have time it's just as long as the ground damage lasts. But can it make the ground damage last longer maybe?
No it will not affect duration of ground damage. You are correct that it will only impact duration of debuff that has an debuff icon on the target. The ground damage can still trigger the 4x piece ignite debuff though.
I have been telling everyone to come to this video to learn about Angmet's since its such a great video compared to many others where they dont just give a simple yet complete explanation.
Here i was this whole time thinking ignite was another status effect different from burn, well perhaps it is but in this instance its lost in translation. Thanks for the clarification!
Hm off the top of my head, I can only think of Red Concord (burning whirling strike). I don't use spear flurry at all so I can't be sure here isn't one for that.
Yes it 100% does. That's why i recommended 4 Grace and 4 Angmet as a viable build. It's very good for lower res players in PvP because you die too fast to take advantage of the 6 piece bonus.
For PvE, I think 4 xVithus 4x Angment is decent, but your AoE damage will be lacking unless you use at least 1 or 2 AoE skills to spread the Ignite. Or maybe 6x Angment with either 2x Banquet or 2x Barons or 2x Vithus (if you use a lot of buffs).
Necros might be the worse class for this set, as summons do not trigger any abilities that is triggered by a player. So the 4 and 6 piece bonuses will likely not work (I haven't tested, but it should be the case).
i use 4 set pieces of Angmet's Conflagration and 4 set pieces of Cry of the Wolf Shepherd in a necromancer invocation build with the molten gollem... i dont know if 6 pieces works better for me
Hmm I haven't tested this on a necro, but based on how summons do not trigger any effects that is triggers by a player, I believe Angmet's don't work on summons. Meaning, your summon attacks cannot trigger Angmet bonuses.
@@EndGamingOfficial of course, gollem do not trigger the effect, but burn the enemy and apply an extra ignite state, then you need trigger the effect... and this is the reason because im not shure if the efficience is enought

@@mrshadow2406 oh you mean 2 piece bonus with the starfire burn. That I don't know. I can't tell if the starfire shard burning effect leaves a debuff or not. If it leaves a debuff, then it will benefit from 2x angmets. If it does not leave a debuff, then it won't benefit. However, I would never recommend using 2x Angmet's. If you are going to use Angmet, use 4 pieces.
I've had good results as Barbarian with 4pc Angmets / 2pc Barons / 2pc Vithus (only because this is all I can do right now). It's such a strong set and it pairs very well with the new Hammer of Ancients chest +%Dmg on HoA per negative effect on target. And the new HoA offhand is an amazing version of HoA with big damage and counts as loss of control (adds slow debuff but I believe there is a knock up or back effect also Im about to test to see).

I think Angmet is either 4 piece or 6 pieces; I would never use only the 2 piece bonus. I also think BoE is either 2 piece or 6 piece, I would not use only 4 pieces. Not sure what class you're using, but if you like BoE, I would just do 6x BoE, 2x Vithus.

How about crusader.
@munge344 im crusader tho i use 2vithus 4 angmets 2 BoE its good on me
@@munge344I think pairing Angmet's with either 2 or 4 piece vithus is amazing on Crusaders.

Someone posted on a Discord group that Vipers Bite will also work with the set. Accurate?
Do you know if the ignite ticks count towards 4p Grace bonus damage? Great stuff btw :)

Did you use 6pc for the challenge rift?
Yes 6 Angmet 2 vithus
Can i see your challenge rift build
Sure, it's mephis cloud, shroud, sphion blood and bats.
Helm - no channel for sphion
Shoulder - primary attack trigger bat attack
Chest - bat breaks target armor
Pants - increase atk/move speed inside cloud
MHs - increase shadow edge dmg, siphon blood deal dmg after 3 hits
OHs - both the shadows edge essences
Does it work with Starfire shard?
Yes, both ways. Starfire shard can proc from the ignite effect, and the ignite effect can proc the starfire as well.

potency is irrelevant on test dummy. it always uses max possible duration for DoT and other negative effects
Doesn't work with necro summons, I am told. Again, Blizz screws over necros - been like that from day 1.
Necros have repeatedly been in the top 2 strongest classes. It makes no sense to claim they have been screwed over since day 1.
you should use a stopwatch ..your sense of time is not good
Evidence that Blizzard doesn't have regulars that play the game.
