      Michigan cheated them for 2 years. Wait until law enforcement comes for these coaches. Do you think Michigan is out of the wood’s because they made the playoffs. Basically Michigan sacrificed your future for this season. Instead of sacrificing this team for your future.

    Why fire him? The Game next year and beyond wont have a huge impact to the post season except for seeding. Yeah it sucks for either team to lose the last game but the days of it destroying your year is over with .

      Because it's one of the biggest historic rivalries. You aren't Ohio State if you can't beat your historic rival. And if they say it means nothing then you're just a bunch of individuals in a Ohio State uniform . And you have no connection to the college or city you play in. Might as well be playing in Tennessee if these things make no difference to coach and team

      2 separate issues.
      My question holds. If Day beats Georgia and beats TCU, his job is secure. He and the administration tell disgruntled fans, “We’re the best in college football; Michigan can pound sand.” And that would work, because all the money and love are flowing to OSU at that point.
      Whether he can win big games is a separate issue. Personally, it seems to me his forte is OC; he’s really not HC material. He’s not tough and physical and doesn’t project strength. He projects insecurity and pettiness. Despite that he does have a great mind for offensive passing.

  • @TheCollierjr

    Why fire Ryan Day? Except for 3 losses in a row to Michigan, he has an outstanding record. Also, one missed field goal against Georgia cost him a national championship. Michigan will lose to Georgia or whoever.
    No need to fire Ryan. Maybe reprogram him. Too much emphasis on that school up north. Who will they find that is better?

    • @cjpreach
      @cjpreach 10 месяцев назад +1

      "Too much emphasis on TTUN." Well, John Cooper got fired for too LITTLE emphasis on TTUN, and his replacement won a Natty two years later. OSU's next Natty came from a coach who was OBSESSED with Yellow Pants. Just a thought.

    Why? With the new expanded playoff Ohio State will be a playoff team every year regardless of whether they beat Michigan.
    The transfer portal, NIL, and the expanded playoff are all money-making schemes for the networks, who run everything anyway. They’re guarantees that the blue bloods will be in the bowl games that generate all the revenue from ratings.
    All the good players will transfer up and all the overrated players will transfers sideways and down. The better players will be paid to stay in college, which will make the bowl games more viable. And lastly, even 2 and 3-loss blue blood programs (Bama, Georgia, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Clemson, USC, Texas, et al.) will be guaranteed playoff berths. Now the arguments will be whether undefeated Liberty or UCF or Cincinnati get in.
    The lawyers and blue bloods and best players win. Everyone else loses.

    It's so laughable that people keep saying Ohio State has all this talent that is so much better than Michigan. That is just not true. To say that really diminishes the athletes and depth that Michigan has. The media can't figure out how to beat Michigan and neither can Day. It's because Michigan is so good at adapting to anything. They have built a team that can play multiple styles. For example, Penn State was determined to take away the pass so Michigan ran it 32 times in the second half. Ohio State focused on stopping the run and keeping JJ from running the read option and keeping the ball. Michigan simply switched their inside zone scheme to stay one step ahead of Ohio State. The Buckeyes in the 4th quarter began to struggle with gap integrity and Michigan exploited that because they are never going to stop running the ball. Ohio State tried to do what Michigan does and it was successful for one drive. They are a passing team. If Ryan Day wants to throw it should be short quick passes because those long passes downfield allow Michigan to get after the QB because the Oline is not great. Even when Ohio State had Dawand Jones and Paris Johnson, their pass protection scheme was suspect. They run a lot of zone blocking scheme that can be exploited when you have space eating DTs and speedy pass rushers. Ohio State fans must face the fact that Michigan has built a deep team specifically designed to beat you. People think they'll be decimated next year but I doubt it. JJ McCarthy will be back, Donovan Edwards will be back and they have another set of O-linemen that have been in the program for 3 years. They've built a lot of depth that didn't hit the portal. This is team is so deep that in any given game they might play 60 to 70 different guys on offense and defense alone. Against Minnesota this year, 73 players saw playing time.
