Incredible career! I happened to be at her first championship as a young coach watching the final four in Knoxville TN. I will never forget how we went to the coaches party the night before the championship and what do you know, guess who strolls in looking cool as a cucumber, but Tara on the cusp of her first championship! I was in awe, she clearly had the team ready to go, and she’s been one of the best ever since. I no longer coach but have always been a fan. Happy retirement to an incredible legend - much respect and appreciation for what she has given to women’s basketball! 🫡

Liked her when she coached Ohio State. I knew back then she was special.

Another old school coach who enjoyed building the relationship with players more than winning. NIL and portal have ruined college sports. She was a great coach and more importantly a great mentor and role model for so many others. Enjoy retirement. Geno will be next.

At this point in her coaching career, she had nothing to prove anymore. Enjoy retirement

Geno UCONN has 3 fewer victories. Geno has coached 6 years fewer. Geno has 11 Natty's. Tara has 3 natty's ? GENO is the greatest women's basketball coach in the history of the NCAA, or men's side for that matter. Go UCONN, Go HUSKIES. 🏀
