These old reigns are great bikes and hidden gems. They have new Trsnce geometry with more travel. Ir climbs and decents great. Such a fun bike. It was a short term bike originally for me but I love the bike and don't feel need for new Reign and I've ridden Aluminum 2016 Reign and I still prefer this one. I've also got a Carbon Anthem SX for all day or less aggressive riding, but I've done 7k ft 30+ mile rides on the Reign also
+WeekendHandymen New Reign has a slacker head angle, longer wheelbase and is closer to a DH bike. Its less playful and climbs about same if not a little worse than old bike. Its lighter from factory and about same as my old one now upgraded unless you get carbon then about 29lbs. It was fun on the down but I would add a coil to rear shock as the ride wasn't as plush . I rode 2015 Aluminum on the dame loop I've often done on my 08 x1 which is a very technical DH
I have the same frame but dont have anything on it yet planing to built but have no idea what parts to buy. . Can you please tell me what all the parts to make it complete. Like Buttom bracket) headset bearing) rear shocks. Wheel set. Thanks
How much weight for the frame only?i've try the new reign it's lightweight but heavy on the money hehe
How do I stiffen up the rear suspension
I've got exactly the same. I've changed literally everything on mine except suspension. 10x 1 XTR MRP chain and bash guard, Easton wheelset, 780 bars with 50mm stem, SLX icetech brakes, HT pedals, dropper. Serviced coil oil shocks and feels great

Is that xc or trail?
It's free ride
is it heavy to wheelie???
Wheelie no, manual ya a bit hard. its not a very heavy bike though, more comes down to geometry.
