King Og lived before and after the flood. Gilgamesh lived and was born after the flood, and he is related to Noah (Utnapishtim). GIlgamesh is the great grandson of Eber and grandson Joktan. So GIlgamesh was a Hebrew but not connected to Peleg.

I think it's possible that there was conflict amongst man who sided with God and who sided with Fallen Angels and amongst the fallen themselves. I've read the Book of Enoch, and understand that the fallen angels - the Watchers - pleaded with Enoch to go to God and beg Him to forgive them and God said no. Was The Book of Giants written then after the Book of Enoch? If so, how long after because the Book of Enoch talks about the fallen angels mating with human women.
book of giants is HIGHLY fragmented and so this story is compiled and "filled in" from several sources, including enoch
I thought I read somewhere that God actually gave both the fallen angels and the giants a chance to repent, and they simply refused. However angels are not like humans, and so if God did say no to them, we can assume he judges them differently than he judges human beings. After all these same angels had once dwelt with God in heaven, and they still choice to disobey him, so God probrably takes that as the ultimate blasphemy which is the only sin that cannot be forgiven. As for the giants, they were simply the creating of the angels mating with human women, so they could not be judged to the same degree as angels, as they were not angels, so maybe that's why God gave the giants a chance to repent.

I am 34, and growing up listening to and reading stories of Helel/Lucifer and the story of his downfall, I never read any other scripture from the Quran or the Torah or anything else, nor even ever knowing about the Book of Enoch in High School, let alone Junior High.

But the Book of Jubilees talks about 10% of the demon spirits (the bodyless spirits of the nephelim giants) that where allowed to stay here by god to test our faith, whereas the rest was banished into the abyss.

It would open your eyes greatly to become familiar with Dr Michael Heiser's work, especially Unseen Realm and Reversing Hermon. The Hermon book really digs into the corruption of people by the rebel angels.

God did offer the offspring a chance to repent actually. As for the angels, think of it this way, Jesus in Bible says that the only unforgivable sin is the sin of blasphemy of the holy spirit. With this in mind, you have to realize these angels had once dwelt in heaven, and were always in the presence of God the creator. Yet despite living in paradise with the holy one, they still chose to descend to earth and sin, so we can assume the sins they committed could not be forgiven, and that goes the same for Satan as well, they had been in the presence of the holy one and they still sinned, and that was unforgiveable. There offspring on the other hand had never dwelt in heaven with God, so God gave them a chance to repent.
