I've read the Book of Enoch, and understand that the fallen angels - the Watchers - pleaded with Enoch to go to God and beg Him to forgive them and God said no. Was The Book of Giants written then after the Book of Enoch? If so, how long after because the Book of Enoch talks about the fallen angels mating with human women.
I thought I read somewhere that God actually gave both the fallen angels and the giants a chance to repent, and they simply refused. However angels are not like humans, and so if God did say no to them, we can assume he judges them differently than he judges human beings. After all these same angels had once dwelt with God in heaven, and they still choice to disobey him, so God probrably takes that as the ultimate blasphemy which is the only sin that cannot be forgiven. As for the giants, they were simply the creating of the angels mating with human women, so they could not be judged to the same degree as angels, as they were not angels, so maybe that's why God gave the giants a chance to repent.

I've read the Book of Enoch, and understand that the fallen angels - the Watchers - pleaded with Enoch to go to God and beg Him to forgive them and God said no. Was The Book of Giants written then after the Book of Enoch? If so, how long after because the Book of Enoch talks about the fallen angels mating with human women.
book of giants is HIGHLY fragmented and so this story is compiled and "filled in" from several sources, including enoch
I thought I read somewhere that God actually gave both the fallen angels and the giants a chance to repent, and they simply refused. However angels are not like humans, and so if God did say no to them, we can assume he judges them differently than he judges human beings. After all these same angels had once dwelt with God in heaven, and they still choice to disobey him, so God probrably takes that as the ultimate blasphemy which is the only sin that cannot be forgiven. As for the giants, they were simply the creating of the angels mating with human women, so they could not be judged to the same degree as angels, as they were not angels, so maybe that's why God gave the giants a chance to repent.

I am 34, and growing up listening to and reading stories of Helel/Lucifer and the story of his downfall, I never read any other scripture from the Quran or the Torah or anything else, nor even ever knowing about the Book of Enoch in High School, let alone Junior High.

But the Book of Jubilees talks about 10% of the demon spirits (the bodyless spirits of the nephelim giants) that where allowed to stay here by god to test our faith, whereas the rest was banished into the abyss.
