Enjoyed your video so much!! My family just listen when I go on and on about cross stitch! 😜
Yay! And haha, same! That's what Flosstube friends are for. 😆
Hi Deborah, glad i found your page. Welcome to flosstube. I enjoyed your video, and your projects. I stitch alone mostly.
Thank you so much for watching! I mostly stitch alone too, and I think it's good we can at least connect this way.
Hello this is Mary Ann from South Jersey I too went to Prince Edward Island to Anna Green gables farm I had a wonderful time we planted potatoes for next year for potato chips interesting rent on the carriage ride and enjoy being in the house of Ana of Green gables author I'm envious of the fact that you have the fabric it's very nice I enjoy your videos I am new at cross stitching I am a quilter I will start working on Valentine's Day quilt thank you for sharing have a nice day flamingos
Hi Mary Ann! So fun to hear from someone else who visited PEI. I love the idea of planting potatoes for the next year's potato chips. Your start on a Valentine's Day quilt sounds lovely!
Really enjoyed your flosstube. Great first episode ❤
Thank you so much for watching!
Just watched your flosstube! Welcome to a great community!
Thank you so much, Cathy!
Hi from a fellow Connecticut person!!!
Hooray - hello!
You had me at Anne of Green Gables! So many good memories. I dream of visiting PEI one day.
Kindred spirits to be sure! Welcome, and I'm so pleased to hear it brought back good memories.
Lovely video. Thanks for sharing
Thank you for watching!
Just watched your first video and I am happy that Sarah's Stitchy Spot call you out. I will probably never do a temperature chart because living in Texas we don't usually have big temperature swings. Just the 50's - 110's.
Thank you for stopping by for a watch! Having lived in some moderate locations myself, I totally get that. One of the things I like about this chart is the designer tells you how to create a color scheme that fits the temperature ranges where you live to help respond to that issue. It's a nice touch I haven't seen in other patterns.
Hi Deborah, so happy to know you, as said we have a lot of things in common, nevertheless to say, I Love Hannah of the Green Gables. It’s incredible how life is ironic sometimes, I don’t have any crafts friend near me, but I can relate a lot with people around the world… oh, I am a multi-crafter too, I also like to sewing, quilting, embroidery, knitting, tatting, crochet… and also designing and illustrating. Woot woot, I think we Just are creative people and I love/enjoy that so much.
So wonderful to meet you too! It sounds like we have lots in common. I think that's one of the best things about this medium too - we get to know people from all around tha world we might never have known otherwise.
Great first video Deborah!!
Yay! Thank you, Pam!
Hi Deborah, It’s very good to meet you on the tube! I m looking forward to your postings. I did have a sneak peek at your video about European designers. I would like to learn more! I have subscribed. 🇨🇦🧵😀
Hi Carol! Thanks so much for subscribing, and I hope you find the video helpful!
Hello!!! Love your video and look forward to all the next ones. I live in Fl so flamingos are so popular.
Hi, Joyce! Thank you for watching. And I can imagine all the flamingos there!😆
Know this is late, but yes! Married my husband second year law school, appreciated the kind librarians in the law library when trying to find his study corner... Anne of Green Gable all the books was my first serious read in High School when my reading level finally caught up with classmates, I have dsylexia... William Morris fabrics...yummm...English paper piecong...yummmm and I did a fabric collage buck(deer)wreath infront of the "In the Bleak Midwinter" poem a few years ago for a Christmas card, love that hymn! Think that's all 🤔
Love all of those thoughts! Law librarians helping you find where he was, how special the Anne books were then, and all the craftiness. Thank you for sharing!
Enjoyed your first episode. Great job! Watching from PEI 😊
Thank you so much! And yay for PEI! 😀
I am so excited to have found you. Helen D. gave you a shout out. I am in NW CT and you are the first one I have found from CT. I really enjoyed this first video. I enjoy stitching small projects as I am not good with finishing anything big. Look forward to seeing more from you. Thank you.
Hi Marie! I'm so happy to see another CT stitcher too. And that we share the same feelings about primarily stitching smalls. It just suits me better for a lot of reasons. Thanks for joining me in the channel!
Hi Debra :)...I am new here too..welcome to floss tube :)
Thank you and welcome to you too!
Lovely shares! I see this was a year ago, so Happy RUclips Anniversary! You’ve got a new follower 🤗
Welcome and thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed the channel. ❤️
Love your channel. ❤❤❤
Yay, thank you!
I just find your videos today. I’m sorry that I miss the chance to see the American patchwork quilting. I’m from Quebec and I haven’t see it. I would like to have it, because it’s fun to make the cross stitch on an English paper. It’s the first time I see that.
It's a great pattern, isn't it? Do you have access to the Readly app? I know the issue is available through the app. I believe you can get a free trial too.
@@kensingtoncrossstitch Thank you very much for telling me about Readly App. I went to look at it and find it.
@@nicolegoulet6110 Wonderful!
Debra, thanks for the lovely visit…congratulations on the finishes that you shared…I enjoyed them all…looking forward to seeing progress on your different projects…wishing you the best and happy crafting❤

Deborah!!!!! Welcome to FlossTube! Love your modifications to the TPP Christmas Market! 😍😍😍
Yay, thank you! ❤ And thank you both for answering my questions about starting a channel. Isn't that Christmas Market so fun??
Hi Deborah, a multi crafter librarian, what's not to like. I'm a bit late to your first video, but so enjoyed your projects, your stories and your obvious love of craft. Wishing you success on your Flosstube journey.
Thank you so much, Clare! I think part of what's fun about Flosstube is it's never too late to hop in and watch, so you are right on time.
Such a natural! Congrats on Flosstube #1! And really… who doesn’t live flamingos!
Oh, thank you so much! And you're 100% right about flamingos!
Hi Deborah! What a fantastic first flosstube!! I loved seeing your favorite finishes from 2022 and learning more about you. Now we'll have more flosstubers at the Inn!
Yay, thank you, Helen! Your finishes and tutorials are always so inspiring, so it tickles me that you enjoyed seeing mine. Not that I want to rush through the year, but the Inn and Stitch New England retreat can't come soon enough!
What a great first flosstube!! Great even for a 100th flosstube! Love your work:)
Janice, you made my day - thank you! ❤
Loved watching and stitching with you. I haven’t plunged into flosstube other than watching.
Thank you so much for spending time with me, Annette! What are you stitching?
@@kensingtoncrossstitch Today I am working on Flea Market Flowers by Lori Holt. I have two other WIPs. And I recently finished “Silent Night” by Country Cottage Needleworks and a pattern I found on Etsy called Cute Frog the shop was Stitch by Soul.
@@annettemartin9544That's a great list. Silent Night is one of my favorite finishes!
HI! Nice meeting you and wonderful first floss tube! Someday I hope to visit PEI! Kindred spirit! As a quilter, stitcher, embroidery fan of many years, I enjoy your enthusiasm in the various areas. Now to catch up with your next floss tubes! Congrats on a great first flosstube!
Hello, kindred spirit - in reading and multi-crafting, it sounds like! Thank you for watching, and I hope you get to visit PEI someday too!
Lovely to watch your video and hear about your stitching life! And to then discover you are doing my supernova design - I hope you have a lovely time with it 😊
Thank you for spending some time with me! And your pattern is lovely! It's become part of my Sunday routine. ❤
Great first flosstube! Loved your creativity on the finishes, I look forward to more from you. It's also nice that your a fellow New Englander!
Thank you so much for watching! And glad to hear from another New England stitched too!
Hello Deborah ! Welcome and congrats on your first flosstube. I also love to stitch mostly small projects. Love your finishes . English Paper Piecing is also a favorite past time for me. It is a great relaxing craft. Great video!!. 👍😊
Hi Susan! Thank you so much for watching, and I love hearing from other smalls stitchers out there. It's so satisfying to see them take shape (relatively) quickly. I had thought EPP might be a relaxing thing, so it's good to hear that your experience with it.
Great first FT... I have subbed! Your finishes are great! I'm like you, my whole cross stitch 'career' was spent making gifts for other people's houses! That quilt magazine is available on Readly, so I went to look at it... the patterns are cute to make as ornaments on their own as well!!!
Hooray - welcome! I love calling it our cross stitch "careers". 🤓 And yes! I forgot to mention the Readly tidbit. That's such a fun idea to make them as ornaments!
Congratulations With Your First Flosstube And Welcome, Love The Flamingos, Looking Forwards To Seeing Your Next Videos Happy Stitching From England Lynn 🪡🧵✂️🇬🇧
Thank you so much, Lynn! Your comment made me so happy. 😊
Hi Deborah. Great first Flosstube. Love the piece your Grandmother designed and stitched. I’m also in CT and had hoped to meet you at the Farm. Maybe this November. Our names are very similar and the Farm did think I was you initially 😊
Aha! Yes, I checked in right after you and everyone was still very confused. 😆 I'd hoped to get to meet you too. I would say "next time", but maybe sooner since we're both in CT? Thanks so much for watching and the kind comments about my grandmother's piece!
Deborah!! You did it!
I did! 😁
Welcome to Flosstube, nice projects and lovely finishing!

Yay, thank you, Ellen!
Really enjoyed your first flosstube. Beautiful projects. Can you tell where you got the advent box from that had the fabric and flosses? Looks like a fun one. Heading to episode 2😊 Suzette
I'm so pleased you enjoyed it! I found the Advent calendar on Etsy, from the shop Nadel Studio: www.etsy.com/shop/Nadelstudio. It was very nicely done.

Judy, how fun to hear from you! Isn't this community and how it connects us so amazing? And thank you so much for your kind words about the channel too. Looking forward to seeing you in future ones too!
Great Flosstube. I like you creativity, patterns you chose, and the Anne of Green Gables references. I’m now going to try and find a Green Gables cross stitch.
Thank you, Linda! Always good to hear from others who love Anne too. If you find a good pattern, do let me know.
Another one sent by Helen D. You’ve had an interesting craft life so far! Helen D. has lots of tutorials on finishing pieces and she is very good at explaining. Flamingos are weird.
Thank you so much for dropping by! And I agree: Helen's tutorials and explanations are so good. I watch every video faithfully!

Hi ! I throughly enjoyed your first flosstube. I’m inspired by the ideas you have for finishing your stitched pieces. Thanks for sharing the flamingo piece by Cathy of HOD. Looking forward to many more videos from you. Happy New Year !
Hi Dotty - thank you for stopping by! I'm so happy to hear my ideas inspired you. Isn't that one of the things so wonderful about this craft, is how we're continually inspiring each other? Happy New Year to you as well!

Good luck in the coming new year and growing your flosstube followers. Look forward to learning about your stitching journey!
Thank you so much, Nanci! I love hearing we have so many things in common and look forward to exploring that more together soon.
🐨👍
Great job! Congrats again on taking that leap. I just yesterday finished kitting up my first temp chart for next year as well. I am doing the one by The Needle and Floss on Etsy. It’s similar in that there is not much extra stitching than the high and low temps. Curious what website you will be using for the temps?
Yay, thank you! I'm so glad you're doing a temperature chart too. Are you doing the bar graph or the squares? Not having to do much outlining really does make that hurdle easier to overcome. When I did the blanket a couple years ago, I used Wunderground for the temps. You could get pretty local, and it was easy to find the full month's temps in one place if you got behind. I've been meaning to check it out again to make sure that's all still the case. If so, that's what I'll use.
@@kensingtoncrossstitch I’m doing the squares and doing the days on the diagonal. I adjusted some of the colors she had listed too. I was looking at Wunderground yesterday and even bookmarked it. 😊
@@ctstitcher Nice! That'll look really good. Since it's already the first and I still haven't looked at the temps, I'm off to a great start. 😆 Though I do expect this is something I'll do once a week or so all in one go rather than every day too.

❤love your video! Hi from Ontario Canada! I just uploaded a video myself if you want to see what I am working on! Just go to Elise D. A.😊
Thank you so much, Elise - and congrats on your own first video! I'll have to check that out!
What do you mean you can’t change the pattern? You paid for the design, make it your own.
My thoughts exactly! 💯
This is a great first episode! Your FFOs are inspiring. 🪡🪡🪡
Oh, thank you so much, Jean! ❤
