Beautiful, this became my sauce of choice for steak a couple of years ago...for me the capers are key...I adore them. Perfect with pasta or fries, and plenty of olive bread to mop up the juices.
I didn't have anchovy steaks at hand, so, I used a little colavera, which did the job just right! Served over polenta, gnocchi, or even cottage fries, it's wonderful.

Otto Egeman Gnocchi are not a side, they are a "first course". As an Italian I would rather side this wwith some more vegetables and have some nice bread handy to mop up the sauce. Cous cous is not a bad idea, though: still from the same Mediterranean region!
