  • We test run all the crushers that come through our shop, before they are delivered to the customer. This is to ensure that if something goes “bump”, it happens before the crusher is installed at the customer’s site.
To do a test run, we hook up the dedicated lubrication system (or a supplied unit) and run the crusher to temperature, which might take an hour or two. When the temperature levels off, we take readings and make sure that the readings are within OEM specifications. We document operating parameters like temperature gain, flow volume, heat signature. We check the filters and strainers for debris and contamination. The crusher is checked for leaks around seals and strange noises that might be a sign of trouble ahead. We observe the amount of head spin, depending on make and model.
In some cases we are able to trouble shoot a crusher without tearing it down, just by putting it on the test stand, as opposed to a complete tear-down.
The test stand is dimensioned to take on a 7’ gyratory to make sure that we can service a wide range of customers.
