Skillet is one of my favorite bands. The lady on the guitar is the singer's wife and the drummer (Jen Ledger) is considered one of the best drummers in the world (and yes, she can sing well too) :-)
The lead singer in this band John cooper also has another band called Fight The Fury and they do more hardcore songs. The drummer Jen Ledger has a solo band as well called Ledger. They are Christian artist and you should react to their other stuff as well
Love the symbolism in the video with the quick cuts to the faceless figures dressed in black: The sapper, the plague doctor, the grenadier and of course, the samurai! Jen smashes her cymbals in unison to the thrusts and swings of the katana. Such an awesome fight song! Gets me pumped every time.
I always found it hard enough to sing while playing bass without going staccato, and had already trained as a singer for years before I ever picked up a bass. Cannot imagine doing it as a drummer. So much coordination... Nothing from me but respect for a band that can manage having their rhythm section simultaneously be their singers, and to those singers themselves.
Great vid!! I met John and Korey Cooper in the early 90's bf they were big and they were amazing ppl. Skillet was one of the band's that inspired me as a kid to learn guitar. I loved it and went on to learn the drums, piano, bass and a lio trumpet lol. I really enjoyed this
Now on the Comatose album and back it was John's wife Korey that sings background vocals and when they do live shows Korey does background vocals on the old song Comatose Album and back and Jen Ledger/Drummer does background vocals on new songs Awake album and forward
Legendary, sick of it, Awake and Alive, hero, just to name a few of some of them are really great ones. I love this song to. It's definitely reacted more skillet.
Love me some SKILLET!!! Look, the drummer is Jen Ledger, she periodically still plays with them, but she went solo. John Cooper(lead singer) has a side project as well! You seriously need to check out more of their songs, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! Ask your husband, he reacted to AWAKE AND ALIVE, so yeah, there's that!
Skillet is awesome, John Cooper Lead Singer/Bass Guitar, Korey Cooper John Cooper's wife, Keyboards/Backup Vocals/Rhythm Guitar, Seth Morrison Lead Guitar, Jennifer Ledger Drummer/Backup Vocals
Go Suzi! You Rock! If you liked this song then you definitely need to check out Mono Inc "Voices of Doom" (Doomsday Version). I think you will really like it.
You should check out some of their stuff from their 2004 album. “my obsession, fingernails and energy make me want to hit someone repeatedly in the head with a steel chair.
chris brownlee right now we are sticking to metal. But might branch off in the future. Or start a second channel for other genres. Not sure yet. We’re kinda trying one step at a time
