Soligor 500mm f8 Mirror lens on RED Komodo

I've had this lens since I was stationed in Germany in the late 80s. I cleaned it up a few weeks back (after the 4x5 video) thinking this day might come. I'm impressed with this lens (long thought to be a POS so buried in an old camera bag for decades).
It is an old Canon FL bayonet mount so I have it adapted to the RED with a Fotodiox Pro FL-RF adapter.
67mm front mount so luckily Tilta matte box can clamp on (though spins with focus)--I needed the variable ND filter mostly.
Once I figured out the focus I was sold. I will use this lens whenever possible.
Also, this is a telephoto/macro lens. . . . I believe my lens is an earlier version. I see the lens online with a 77mm front.

Is it worth buying and what is it like at f11 or f16?

As noted it's fixed at f8 which makes them cheaper than a dedicated cine lens option.
