I finally figured it out, Bush Bee Man's voice is just like how someone would talk to a cute puppy. 😄

A fellow beekeeper I know uses a bow arrow to shoot a rope over the limb if the swarm are on a high tree limb and ties a 5 gal. bucket to the rope. He hauls it up to the the swarm, gives a couple of sharp tugs to bang the bucket against the limb, then lowers a bucket-o-bees.

Try taking a long wooden pole with a paint bucket sreew on it. It’s smaller and would be longer. Hope my suggestions helps

Bucket Cam was crazy good :) I still don't understand why you don't get them straight into a box so they fan up the rest of the girls in. You will fall over when you try it!

I've got one of those bloody folding ladders, they are a pain to open and always catch my fingers, it stays folded up now unless really needed!! Loved the video as always.

@@TheBushBeeMan haha! I wouldn't have. They were up high enough to not be a problem. Just taken time to educate the people who called it in and went on my way.

@@TheBushBeeMan Not only that, the low angles makes this seem almost semi-professional. Like the shot at 5:45 , it takes you into the action, like you are there.

Great vid,the tree loppers use a weight tied onto a strong rope to get their absail ropes up into the trees, perhaps you could use a similar practice to bring the branches down to you,tie it to the back of the Ute and drag it down to a workable height, bee good and take care.

Take a razorblade/utility knife and cut the lip off your bee catching box and you’ll have a smooth lip. ;)

Hmmm, maybe next time attach brushes to the inside edge of the box-on-a-stick... Turning it into a frankenbox has to work, right?

Why didn’t you put the bees straight into the bee box instead on shake them into a tub then pour them into another tub to then put them into a hive you could just put them straight into a hive box
