Can you believe my nest is almost empty? I can't believe another school year has crept up on us... I am having my 5th child enter high school! THAT IS WILD TO ME! We've been scrambling, probably like y'all, to get things ready for the upcoming school year, and getting backpacks and school supplies ready is a huge part of that!
As you know, each year, the kids get to pick the themes of their backpacks, and much of what is inside them. It is always kind of a fun experience to see what they choose, and how different they are from previous years or from their siblings!

Cannot believe Paisley is in 6th grade and Daxton is in highschool and Rylan is gonna be almost college. Paisley and Daxton is so grown up! Also cannot believe Kamri is a senior of college this year. Bailey is already married. Brooklyn is about to get married. Mindy, you have like three stages of life of ur children since two still in school age, two is in college age, two is out of college and married life. @@ChocolateOmnom Yeah, that's what I was wondering haha. She said something like that on her stories, but I wasn't too sure :)
You can do something called a "fifth year senior and so on" it's basically for people like kamri who is considered a senior but still isn't set to graduate yet because she has required courses. I'm in the same situation with my classes currently.

Hi Mindy, I can't believe how big and mature Paisley and Daxton are. Is possible to do an update video on his Autism. I remember the original video You and Shaun did a couple years ago. I know the video is only just a snipit but I feel like he has come along way. I am so proud of him. I'm a Preschool teacher so occasionally come across Autistic child. It does make me think of Daxton. I just want to give that child my all and help them to the best of my ability.

Wow, Dax and Pais have grown up. I’m also the same age as Mindy and would have called the ‘trapper keeper’ a binder too. Never heard the term trapper keeper before in my life!

I bought a Stanley water bottle last week from Walmart and it has been my favorite water bottle so far. It keeps my water cold for a long time. When you said the brand I was like let me check what brand my water bottle is and I was excited to see we have the same brand.

Quality over quantity and they last longer and are better (eg backpacks are comfortable)…. And create much less waste

Exactly, I had a backpack for like 3 years or until it was worn out. School supplies were bought only when needed
@@katm1906 most ppl I know had one for 4-6 years then changed. Then some started using handbags so sometimes had 2 they switched between.
I had 3 for all 12 years, and now 1for university so far.
As for books/notebooks and supplies, books/notebook were given from school for free when the old one was full. Textbooks were also given from them. Supplies were changed as needed (and pretty much everyone had a big pencil case)
