Ride On Burpy

After some soul searching and a serious consult with the Big Kahuna, an executive decision was made last week to finally release our friend Robert Walter aka "Burpy" into the sea. Waiting for this global health crisis to abate was not an option. Burp needed to get back into the ocean. Along for this important mission was Burp’s long-time friend Kenneth Gallant and his fishing buddy Aidan. Not the big sendoff we had originally planned, but it was an amazing adventure full of joy and laughter. Pretty sure the Burp approved. We recorded the moment so everyone could be there with us and we tagged some of his close friends. So feel free to share. (Apologies if you were left out, but you know Burp had love for everyone!) We saved a little Burp left for a proper paddleout this summer on LBI. Thank you Burpy for using your second wind to come back into our lives. So stoked we got to hang at the beach, ride a few waves, put some fish in the boat and reminisce about all the crazy times during our formative years on the island. For a little guy, you made a big impression everywhere you went, setting an example to keep on fighting and never give up. The ocean called and you’re back where you belong. Ride on brother.
