You cannot remove/hide it. This Android version of Shovel Knight and Shantae Pirates Curse are specific builds of the game meant exclusively for Amazon TV products. Since the build wasn't designed to be put on hold in memory, or have an overlay, doing anything Android-related, like hitting the recent button will close/crash the games. You're just stuck with it. However you can download Citra, a 3DS emulator. It requires a semi-powerful phone, but you can emulate Shovel Knight and have full screen. The only advantage this version has is it's native to Android, so it's not emulated, because of that, it can run on potato phones with no issue.
If your Android automatically detects Xbox as a gamepad it should work fine with no issues maybe? But I believe these APKs have trouble booting on Android 12, 13, and 14. When I tried on Android 13, all I got was black screen and 13 isn't dramatically different than Android 12. Android 11 was the latest version of Android that I last tried this game I believe
@@RottypopsOh ok thanks, I got this from somewhere and I donk know if it's my controller or the app that I downloaded was bad but it kept pressing right without me making any inputs on my controller, is this normal or maybe the apk was wrong? Edit: It's DEFINITELY my controller and has nothing to do with the apk I installed.

Not only can you remap your controller but emulator will give you more quality of life improvements that the crappy APK lacks.
@@Rottypops I've used emulator before but my phone is a bit crappy so it's a bit laggy, so I wanted to use this since it's native to mobile so maybe I'm just either gonna stick to PC or get a new controller.
@@Relfp well if that's the case, I believe the controller i used was the Kishi v1 controller (USB-C). It was one of my favorite ones I ever used for mobile, and can be found for $20-25 on eBay these days. (I paid $100 for mine at the time)
Yes the *APK* exist somewhere. Make sure you don't accidentally download and install malware.
And you *MUST* use a physical controller to play.
