      Exactly my thoughts as well. Most of the people won't be willing to spend such money for a lesser known brand. It's atlease twice expensive than it actually should. Chinese brands are half the price even after heavy import duty.

    I believe the water filtration happens from bottom to top.
    And, in that case, the sponge media should be at the bottom. (The filter floss & carbon at the top is correct). And, I don't understand when the ceramic ring became mechanical filtration media 🤔

    It's not made in India. They have just renamed Hydor filters which is a European brand. It's imported just like any other canister filter. They should have disclosed this information as providing the country of origin is required by law.

    Just wondering, how does this qualify as an Indian Filter? Just because an Indian brand is importing it or rebranding it?
    This is just an example of how importers and sellers try to use your patriotism and love for India to sell products. Many Indian brands like API have used this marketing method regularly.
    We surely need to support Indian brands and Amit (AquaNature) has gotten a good filter to the Indian market. But till the parts of the filter aren't manufactured in India, its still an imported filter with an Indian Box and Sticker.

    These look like Hydor professional canister filter. I had hydor which worked for many years but failed after leakage from the self priming pump. now Hydor stopped this model. These are made in China and I guess the contracted Chinese company has started selling it after hydor discontinued the model. Not sure if the quality would be the same. But if this product is not Chinese made and from indian make, best of luck.

    Looks identical to the Hydor 600 which is an excellent filter. The foam (mechanical filtration) should be at the bottom, followed by your polishing foam, then your ceramic rings (biological filtration), then your charcoal (chemical filtration). This is important because of the direction of the water flow of this filter.

    Varieties, looks , design , warranty are attractive but price is really high. Another, Mr. Amit did not mention about the top head rubber gasket die to which leakage started happening after few months or after few time opening and that is annoying. Getting the rubber gasket is another struggle and seller charges a high like Rs. 450 for single rubber gasket, hiw thia has been taken care in this India made canister, that is one of the important expected question not covered yet. Price is really high, to make popularize this make in India products price is one major factor hope Mr. Amit will take care of this.

  • @hamza8810
    @hamza8810 Год назад +2

    Kudos for building the canister...beautiful piece of equipment there...
    Hope the manufacturer ponders upon the following points I am putting down here..
    Like a typical Chinese manufacturer you lost the entire plot there, right in your 'prescribed' stacking of media. The order of stacking is all WRONG...
    Its always coarse mechanical media first, coarse sponges that stop 80% of debris at the first tray itself..then comes the finer foam/sponge type media that stops the rest finer particulate matter.
    Then comes your biological media that should ideally never touch the dirt or debris/ has to be cleaned. ceramic rings are all bio media just because you are stacking fine looking common ceramic rings in first tray it doesnt make them 'mechanical+bio' media. The bio media if subjected to debris that extent will reduce their porosity as they get clogged up, reducing the performance of biological filtration thus far. The ceramic rings shown with that 1/3rd tray filled will bypass all particulate matter and debris trapping in its pores the finer particles. So a thick coarse and thin 15mm fine sponges in first tray for mechanical media.
    Last but if required the comes chemical filtration part either with activated carbon/ some product like purigen.
    Dont take my word for it...take eheims, oase, fluvals atleast for your reference to name a few(pioneering brands)...they all stack their mechanical media first and (without gimmicky 'mech + bio' media) in the RIGHT ORDER. Oase went further to completely putting mechanical sponges into a separate compartment as PRE-FILTER and it can go on months without having to open up entire canister just by taking out and cleaning mechanical prefilter you are good to go.
    And for God sake, dont be stingy with media, it neither clogs the flow/performance of filter if the tray is fully filled. Either dont give media or give it in right amount a tray full. It doesnt costs an arm and a leg to do so.
    If I have to fill like 1/3 the capacity of media then whats the point of getting a huge bin sized filter(10-15liter media capacity) if its entire media is mere 2-3 liter...its not a trickle filter to keep some room for aeration.
    And lastly, you need to up the flow(to turn optimim water volume per hour)on this or stop rating it for 5-6 footer tanks. A mere 1300liter/hr flow rate for 650 liter tank capacity is a joke to be honest with you. You havent even mentioned wether this flow rate is optimal flow rate at the pump or outlet at the tank..the flow rate simply drops by as much as 30-40% depending on various factors like inlet and outlet heights wrt canister, etc. you cant even beat dophins with that number.
    I have seen experienced hobbyists use multiple oase/ eheim filters on mere 4ft planted tank connected in series or separately and no one complained of the flow(and for tanks with large fishes nothing can beat the sump)...thats a lame excuse to keep flow down when there are options given to dissipate the flow. And unless you are keeping swamp fish from stagnant waters you wont need to bother about the flow.
    Its one of the finest looking designs externally but a few point I felt necessary to put value into your effort...

    • @TusharSoni991
      @TusharSoni991 7 месяцев назад

      Excellent points mentioned bro! They should really take these points into their account and also need to adjust their prices, as there seem to be better products with similar specs in market. I think that An average consumer would rather buy the filter from other brand for almost half the price instead of buying something twice the price with warranty.

    The Sunsun Xiaoli XWA-500 (more flow rate) costs 8600, Sunsun 704 costs 8k, Sunsun 304 costs 6500 (all non-UV). If they're really targeting sales, they should price the Hydor Pro 600 (company has received really bad reviews overseas due to non-existent support, about to shut down) at around 10k-10.5k.

      Dry Run, meaning starting the filter without water filled in which will damage the motor or impeller.

      @@SJInceptions That was sarcasm brother.. It's not at all budget friendly, a make in India product should be in budget (around 5k-6k max for top model) but this is way expensive compared to imported product.. I would go for Imported chinese product because even if it's spoiled within 2 years I can get another one and still I would not pay 12.5k. It's not you I am commenting on.. its the product so don't feel bad.

    The prices are just too high for us indian hobbyist if the pricess were starting from Rs2500/Rs3000 then it would've been much more better for us especiall middle class hobbyists 🤔

    I simply dont get, why these filters are so expensive! I have seen people making their own custom sump, which is far more efficient and cost effective.
