- A former Michigan State Police detective sergeant who is facing charges for hitting and killing a man with an unmarked cruiser during a foot chase in Kentwood appeared in court Wednesday. (June 5, 2024)
Pathetic! He needs to go to prison!
Law enforcement’s relationship with the public has degraded because we see what they get away with now. We see the horrible crimes that cops never face accountability for.
Yeah, it’s never the fault or responsibility of the person breaking the law, it’s the fault of the police officer who is put in that situation because of the choice the suspect made. The police should have just let him do what he wanted and not do their job. I just don’t get what makes them think they can just do their job as law enforcement officers whenever they are on shift. Who gave them that idea. The people?
@dominiquejohnson1359 he didn't have to hit him with that car either so you need to just shut up.
@@dominiquejohnson1359your truly disturbed if you think breaking the law should empower the police to take your life.
@@azovandy14.88 that’s a well formed eisegetical way to interpret what I just said.
@@trevonjones53876 I agree
He is guilty and he’s not the only one .
I can tell that guy the difference this cop intentionally struck a man pinning him to a wall whereas the person on the highway probably unintentionally struck and killed his kid. Intentionality matters people. You cant intentionally kill someone who isn't presenting a threat of great bodily injury or death to you or others.
You cannot run over a suspect with a car. I'm sorry, that is not doing your job.
Maybe that suspect now victim shouldn’t have ran away from the police getting himself more trouble before getting killed.
A P.R bond is crazy for a murder charge..
It’s not a murder charge! Manslaughter there’s a big difference!
You are so smart right? just stay out of it because you obviously don't know he was charged with manslaughter which is accidentally killing (a fleeing felon need I remind you?) someone which in all sane sober prudent minds was the case. Stay out of law enforcement because YOU'RE the type that perpetuates their behavior with your molly coddling of these types
@@DrDolittle744 He was charged with 2 counts. First count was Homicide:Murder, 2nd Degree. Second count was Manslaughter, Involuntary. I don't know the intricacies of Michigan criminal law but I listened to the actual court recording and that's what the judge read out.
He PINNED him between the car and the wall.
REALLY ?? F**K !! if that's true, the cop is a seriously nasty person.......
On purpose.
The difference between one person being charged with a misdemeanor for hitting and killing someone, and this cop being charged with murder is because one was an accident, the other was not. The cop disnt lose control, the vehicle did not malfunction. He aimed for the kid, and killed him.
This was STRAIGHT UP MURDER, SHAME ON ANYONE WHO UPHOLDS THIS.
Where is the justice? He shouldn’t have gotten a bond. I’m sick of listening to this bias media circus
He has to be given a reasonable bond according to the Constitution!
The man uses vehicle to run over there’s no justice.
All those people must have saw a different video, I am quite sure if it was their child they would be singing a different tune,. Hitting a human with your car what was he thinking. Was allowed to retire. Go after his retirement.
The supporters are only looking at their friend, not the totality of circumstances. Especially his fellow officers, if they actually knew the law they would understand why he is being charged. Any reasonable officer would not have used that type of force to stop a running suspect in that manner. The law is the law, open a book and read the Graham Factors.
His job was to bring in the suspect in, not to deny the public justice. He only added to any injustices he was supposed to be working to preventing or bringing before the judgement of the court.
They should held the attorneys personal responsible , during his bound.
To think ramming a human body with a 3000 lb car against a brick wall is just doing his job is stunning. This fool said he he was over charge for crushing this kid against a wall for a misdemeanor in fraction is appalling. That cop closed to be judge, jury and executioner.
Not charging the cop would mean they can shoot you in the back if you resist , turn away , ride a bike , skate or jog away ... Even if the reason is your scared , don’t comprehend or understand , you’re having a medical issue or are deaf.
Dont call criminal, man, kid, call him demon😢
Or don't call them a police officer ( peace office) , call him demon
To meny demons(criminals) among us😢
Don't call all cops demons lol.

Who expected better but but the Lord of hosts is still in control, ress ashore he cannot fail.
He hit that man ON PURPOSE!!! Talking bout accidents happen that was no accident! The relationship is degrading because police keep getting away with everything!!!!
The police would have us to think it’s okay for to use a vehicle, but a regular citizen can not use a vehicle.
Murder Was The Case!
A dam disgrace to SOCIETY by that JUDGE
Why is Ocifer Kielly still above ground?
I think it should have been first degree. He had ample time to change his mind put on the brakes or even turn the steering wheel. He didn't he went full steam ahead. And literally focused and aimed his car which is a deadly weapon at that person
His name was Samuel Sterling. I don't know why he was running but if he committed a crime he could have been arrested and had due processes we are all entitled to. I thought cops are supposed to understand the rules. Citizens are expected to know the rules, why aren't cops?
Well said.
I fkn can't.
Maybe people that do stupid stuff by their poor parenting should take the blame for this and stop blaming police officers on how bad they are and how they’re doing a bad job.
Anyone got the cop's address?
RIP ✌
They might get him for manslaughter but no way will they get a murder conviction
Now getto loto😂
I wonder if she cried because of her son's death or if she cried because she'd think about the lawsuit money.
Of course she cried because of her son's death.
He's not going to spend one time in jail then he going to move to Florida.
God bless you officer, for trying to do your job❤

Fleeing and resisting arrest should be made legal to comply with local culture.
Where was the resisting? What was the crime? Running? Was he a threat to himself or others?
@@patriciaraymond7839 What difference does any of that make? He knew he had felony warrants out for his arrest. If he had wanted to clear those up he would have gone down to the court to explain - clearly had more pressing matters. He just needed more time to get to it. His previous arrests for being a convicted felon carrying a concealed weapon were in the past, so that’s no excuse, he even told them he wasn’t armed but apparently they didn’t listen.
Dont run simple. This is unfortunate but I hope he is found not guilty.
A death sentence for running?
He should never have ran away. Why do black people keep doing this. I don’t think he will guilty..
I don't feel bad for a criminal who clearly wasn't done breaking the laws. If he wanted to stop he wouldn't have ran. Just gotta love how black people don't take accountability
Isn't the cop considered a criminal now? He's charged with murder.
@@chriscald9426 yeah now because black people are cry babies
This two demons belong in jail, not trooper😢😢😢
First I'd like to say I absolutely detest this AG lady that brought up these charges.,which I consider worthless to the real world we live in. and that being said, Charging him with murder is a over the top of common reason. There's many mitigating circumstances at play here and lets not forget the MSP were the Good guys chasing the bad guys so in that context this man died due to HIS poor CRIMINAL choices. I think it's a travesty of justice to go after the good guys when one of the bad guys dies. THEY know the rules of the street; "Play with fire there's always a chance you'll get burned" He did and I say Oh well....shouldn't have lived the hood life. Lets also consider all the fine things this fine felon would go on to do later had he lived.
yeh but, yeh but, pinning a kid to a wall with a car is a bit over-the-top ...............??
@@raymondo162 yes
She didn't kill anybody.
So when your the good guy and you f--- up nothing should happen to you? You don't know what he would have did if he lived, last time I checked people make mistakes including the officer when he played judge, jury and executioner.
@@johntylor1463 YOU sir live in a bubble. Maybe the policeman was wrong but how can Sterling mother call him her baby & cry. Y didn't she tell stop breaking the law? Sterling was a criminal.
Why did the cop hit an unarmed man with his car? We have a justice system for a reason.
Would your comments be the same if the young man was white?
@@Thereisonly1 Yeah like Riley Doggett I already did, I don't care what race your are no one should ran over like a dog in the street unless they are armed and the cop's life is in danger. That was not the case in either incident.

Cop don't cry when you run over an unarmed person, get charged. You can't be the judge and jury too sheesh!
