Behold, the video that took me 2 months to make. In this video, Ill show you the pros and cons, the do's and don'ts, and the should and shouldn'ts of my favorite weapon in Brawlhalla, The Grapple Hammer. By far my largest video to date, and I am super excited to be showcasing it to you guys! Hopefully this guide will help you realize how devastating hammer is, and that one day you could get to diamond or Valhallan using it! Happy Hammering!

HELLO ALL, first off I wanna apologize for my extended absence, the video was INCREDIBLY hard to make, took a lot more resources to produce than I thought. Its my first guide video, and a lot of research and clip farming was needed, but I hope you enjoy the video regardless :). You can actually do The Fangwild combo in more spots I will list some I found.
The crack on the right side. (Probably the easiest and most consistent spot). Do it towards the left side
To the right of the crack on the right side. (They have to overlap the log in the back and the further right they are the more inconsistent it will be). Do it towards the left side
To the left of the crack on the right side. (They have to overlap the grass in the back and it's pretty much as consistent as on the crack). Do it towards the left side
The crack on the left side. (Pretty much the same as the right side difficulty and consistency wise). Do it towards the right side
To the right of the crack on the left side. (Need to be in front of the grass hump and it's pretty consistent). Do it towards the right side
To the left of the crack on the left side. (Needs to be basically touching the crack on the left side and it's pretty consistent). Do it towards the right side
On the left edge of the stage. (You can do it on the left most possible point all the way to the crack but I split it up because on the very edge it is very hard and inconsistent). Do it towards the right side

I never really played hammer. Knew just basic combos and spacing.
But even with that little knowledge (and with a little bit of cheesing), I was able to get to diamond with Cassidy.
Now I love hammer.

Just a detail about Russian Mafia: it has to be around 120 damage to connect the Dair, or else it bounces higher (forcing you to Nair, maybe) or lower, probably breaking the string.

As an aspiring Yumiko main, this video is super informative!! I haven't watched anything past the pivoting part, since i'm still practicing getting it consistently on D-Air. I'd say i can do it consistently if i can do it about five times in a row consistently. So far i'm able to do it two times in a row consistently, but i have done seven in a row once somehow! I've learned a lot so far, even from the basic true combos, most of which i already knew but some were definitely new to me! Thanks so much for the video! I'll probably be rewatching every now and then to make sure all the information stays inside of my head.
edit: right as i finished typing this comment, i did a ten in a row pivot with D-air lol
still learning to do it consistently, of course, but that felt pretty dang good

No don't be scared, just follow what I told you in this video, as in replicate the combos and strings until you're one with hammer, then you'll see just how busted magyar truly is

Kor is still my favorite hammer legend. Around 2018-2019 saw him in the roster and made me smile cuz he's so goofy. As of now he's at lvl 30+ my top 5 highest legend lvls
represent, kor is a goat that I will no longer allow to be overlooked

I remember when i first started playing brawlhalla and people told me grapple hammer was a beginner weapon... I have never been more lost then when I have to use hammer.
Like axe is just super simple, same with box, spear and sword like the basic intro weapons so i always found it so hard to understand why people would tell me hammer is a starter simple weapon too

We on the same page when I started mordex dropped I fell In. Love with kor and taros they both at like lol 60 for me but he right hammer is all about the parries and spacing u can easily counter lance if u time it right bodvar is nasty too don't sleep on him

Hammer is the best scythe counter. No matter how long or sweaty your scythe string is, it can always be negated by one hammer recovery.

All of the advanced combos can be hit with any character, some characters make it Hader to dodge out because of high dex, like cassidy and yumiko

Really appreciate you putting more difficult combos into this video, the second one with the weapons throws im definitely gonna steal, is it easy to read dodges between the unarmed dlight though?
Also one more true combo atleast on Cassidy 9 dex, if they dodge diagonal up after slight or dlight you can fastfall recov into stomp sair/nair true. I think nsig might be true on higher healths too
Well, reading dodges effectively comes with experience, so I won't say its easy, but its worth learning
