Wow Allie! That brought tears to my eyes, you were so happy at the finish☺️ I don’t know anything about running but you looked so fast at the end! Congrats on the win! 🏅
That mid-twenties to mid-thirties is peak performance age too. Just hitting her uber prime…pretty amazing when you see all her accomplishments todate. 👍🏻
@@TheBeingReal yes she just needs to keep relaxed and enjoy the sport and not overtrain this is what caused her to decline before. Now she is really doing well and has a lot of upside potential
I just love your response to the feeling of winning: from the medal to the chair and everything in between, but especially to sitting in the chair It was nice to see you genuinly happy like this! It helped me remember what a blessing it is to race and to win. Not everyone gets to win. Sometimes when one wins all of the races they enter it is easy to forget not everyone gets to be in that position, most not even once in their lifetime. Running is fun, and you say it all the time, but winning is fun. The next race I win I will remember your grace and gratititude for the moment and savor and enjoy my victory. If I don't win, I will still treat it as such as I remember the journey to get back to racing after difficult circumstances. Thank you!
This makes me so happy, I almost cried at the end because I was so happy for you. You've worked so hard for this and overcome so much, and I aspire to be like you when I'm out of highschool!!
Allie, I am a Canadian coach obsessed with "movement". You are so very close to moving at an exceptional level. Adding another level of understanding and several in-work-out additions could do the trick. Easy-intricate-stuff. Let me know if you wish to begin with an understanding.
Not sure it’s bc I have little daughters or what but seeing your comeback after pushing through personal challenges made me think someone was cutting onions in here. So happy for you! Amazing victory and looking forward to what’s up next for you!
Good luck to you and Spenser and I hope you get your nationals qualifier soon if that's what you're aiming for short term. Great to see you healthy and building for future seasons.
Congrats Allie! Downhills are a beautiful thing and you used it well . . . course management! See, the dancing training really proved helpful in your debut!!! Look forward to seeing you have more fun and success as you navigate your return!
Congratulations Allie. I am so pleased for you and your journey to here. I really felt your freedom running downhill to the finish line. What a pleasure to watch you enjoy this race so much. Love from Ireland. xx
Congratulations! It's awesome that you came in first, but I think the more important thing is seeing the amount of joy you got from being able to do what you love!
I think I speak for everyone when I say how happy I am for you. Not just for this win but for how far you've came in the last year. You are an inspiration to a lot of young women who could use this kind of role model.
Way to go, Allie O! So glad to see you win another road race. I also love the AHA drinks (0 calorie, no sugar, just some flavors). Spencer saying Bigfoot Baby exists is hilarious! Your strides in the last mile were amazing. Great race and so glad it felt good for you, too.
Great comeback. Dropped the hammer final mile. I love 5ks where first mile is uphill. Being fresh it's never too tough. An uphill 3rd me in 5k is brutal.
You are a great and fun runner. Great job winning the race. My guess is you loved the new shoes. Looked like you all were wearing the same shoes. I'm 47 and I win or place in almost ever race for my age group. My 5K PR is 21.32
I was soooo happy to see you win that race. I've been watching your journey for a long time. All the way back when you were in high school. The ups, downs and now much better ups coming. I see alot of Nike gear...sponsor???
This is so awesome. Wish I had known you were on the East Coast. I have family up there in New York. My nephew is Big Foot and also is a runner. I hope you got to explore some of New York State. Congratulations on the win! I am so proud of you.
You were front page of the sports section of a local (518) newspaper! I first heard of you years ago when you were starting out at Boise State, and to see you make your way from the West coast to upstate NY is just so neat to me!
bigfoot baby
Ha! But seriously, yes. Yes indeed.

It’s pretty cool they had 10+ top tier runners run in these fun races.

Thank you!! It was such a fun race!
She is gonna be a big star on the womens side. Has tremendous potential with those times and getting faster.

The joy you show in the sport is right there to see.

That means so much. Honestly. Thank you!
