The sulfuric acid that we added is already bought in a small amount just in sake of the process making oleum (a thick mixture). It can be bought from places in small amounts just to make a large amount of sulfuric acid in the end
It is purchased from a different plant. Historically, sulfuric acid was made from the chamber process, which did not require any sulfuric acid to start, but was quite inefficient. Once a large amount of sulfuric acid was in circulation, it was replace by the contact process as shown in the video. Since the output is twice as much acid as you started with, there will always be acid left to produce oleum.
