I took my A motorcycle license way back, fully knowing I wouldn't own one due to money. Life had other priorities and I rented one time to time. Always saddened me that so many people see the H2 as “just” a fast bike. It’s so much more than that. It’s Kawasaki’s pride and engineering prowess and passion rolled into an amazing machine. The RUclipsrs that motovlog with it don’t respect the bike for what it is, only for its power and the clout that comes with owning one. It’s just disappointing.
I’m glad to see that you respect the story behind this amazing motorcycle too.

damn Chopssey, you absolutely nailed it on this vid. if kawi doesn't make you the spokesperson for at least this bike they're sleeping on LCR, this intro to the technical marvel that is the H2 was next level. also great short docu on kawi's innovation history, these are the folks who brought us the connie which was a game changer at the time. there were moments in this video which reminded me of my 06 zx10r that gave me chills. that was just an OP street beast at the time but this thing sounds like a cross between a F1 car and a fighter jet when you roll on and off the throttle and is an absolute missile. incredible, thanks again

What an interesting comment, and one that I have lived. Around 2010 life circumstances saw me viewing life very differently and since 2010 I have taken a totally different approach to life, and top of the list has been buying myself birthday presents. No more crap that I neither asked for or wanted, but instead a steady list of items 'bought with the heart'. Hence I am watching this video in early August 2024 as its my birthday soon and I'm considering one of these stunning machines.

I know the SX, and the ZH2 have different internals on the engine, but the fact that Brock's has the ZH2 up to 245 wheel with just a tune and exhaust is amazing. Once guys start changing SC gears, intercooler, bigger injectors, the only thing holding them back is what power level will break the internals. These are amazing motors.

The enginerding that went into producing that machine is at the absolute pinnacle of precision and shows that mama Kwak really does know best. I seriously doubt that there will ever be another Dino powered machine built, by any manufacturer, that matches the vision they obviously had when that thing was just a scribble on a napkin. Had the same clutch problem in my 2017 carbon, wasn't in the recall list. I did what you did and fixed it for 6 months and the problem came back so I fitted the replacement at my cost. Another issue to check is the back wheel nut, even though it has a locking mechanism it does come loose. You can easily check the play in the rear wheel. Recommended tightening then un-tighten again
Then up to the torque value. Happens a lot and Kawasaki haven't acknowledged the problem. Most of the critics either don't own one, scared of it suffer from cognitive dissonance. Mine will be sold as part of my estate when I shuffle off.

You need to ride one to fully appreciate how special it is. I recently put green bst candy gloss carbon wheels on my 2016 model too. Waited 6 months for them last year ! Improves the handling.
Side note. You are losing more than 15 hp from crank to wheel - it’s around 12 percent. So your bike is likely putting out around 280 hp. Mine is a little snatchy too and I’ve put a lot of work into the mapping after the Dyno.

What a fantastic machine - an engineering masterpiece! As an engineer myself, I can appreciate the amount of design expertise that has gone into it. As you say, Chopsy - function being the prime consideration. Brilliant!

I love this bike so much.
I own the H2SXse I decided to go for this model as being 23 years old I don't have the money or the insurance reputation to own multiple bikes xD If I was going to spend that much money on a bike I wanted to be able to take that bike anywhere and not regret it. Be comfortable and have fun.
I wanted to own a H2 also one day or at least get the chance to ride a flashed one too but with them not being produced anymore it's not likely :( .
My H2SX makes 230 rear wheel horsepower and I love it I also have a slight snatchy throttle so keep my hands on the front brake to counteract it when it jumps off when you come back on xD
Can't wait to see the video when you sort that snatchy throttle out as I will want to do the same too and I am from the same area!

Out of interest, did you find it difficult to find affordable insurance?

    • @09mantlek
      @09mantlek 2 года назад

@@kevinmobile I did indeed. This year was particularly hard had to devalue the bike by a couple grand to get it from £4000 to £1800 for the year. Well worth it though.
Was hoping next year to get the bike value back at what it's worth which is £13,500
so yh if you bought a new model you would be stuffed.

Love what you've done to your bike. I have a 2017 too, and am looking to get rid of the cat. I see you have, is that a legal option? Also aren't mirrors mandatory? Thanks.
As for the groinchy clutch, I have had the same problem, but I get her serviced by a Kawasaki dealer and they lube the activator rod for me every time it's in.
PS have a look at my "bird strike" vids, experienced whilst aboard the H2!
