Well, after watching the video a couple of times, I think that with time it is best to visit both islands. Beautiful places on both sides. With two months and a good supply of money it is worth a thousand times to visit both islands. Congratulations, you have a beautiful country!
Hello from sunny Blenheim! thanks for making this video Maddie, I've traveled NZ extensively but I've never been to Gisborne, Alexandra or Whangarei, if you've been to these places, would you recommend them?
Hi Lucas! thanks so much for your comment, I have been to Whangarei a few times, and its a small but pretty town which seems to be growing in popularity recently because of its location! I have passed through Alexandra and Gisborne but haven't stopped there yet - they're both on my to do list!
Sorry but I think the beaches around Nelsion Abel Tasman etc are beautiful , very popular in summer with tourists and locals alike, plenty of opportunities for swimming, diving kayaking, and with their golden Sands are the equal of any in the north/ There's also swimming with Dolphins etc plus the wonderful Whale watch experience in Kaikoura which you didn't mention. I agree for cultural experiences and geothermal activity the North is the best and although the west coast has glow worm caves those in the north are larger and better as is the history partcularly that associated with the British Colonists and early missionaries, I haven't forgotten Hobbiton which is a superb attraction for Lord of the Rings fans !
Traveling 6 times to NZ. North Island very nice. Hot springs and volcanos but south island is more imposing. Mountains and natures.
