I would on the other hand claim that the sound is more reminiscent to what Soilwork has been doing recently. The melodic is more persistent in the mid-era of In Flames as you have desribed, more vivid and harmonic, accompanied by a heavier use of clean vocals.

Excellent compositions and great individual performances but the production is off, everything sounds a bit flat and the vocals are mixed too low for those hooks to really pop the way they're supposed to.
