- Tim Keller explores the relevance of John Calvin's pastoral practices for today, highlighting the importance of forming Christians in practices beyond preaching alone. Keller discusses three key ideas he has learned from studying Calvin, including:
1. The need for pastors to engage in various pastoral practices
2. The democratization of monastic practices for all Christians
3. The necessity of ongoing, intense training for pastors
He offers potential applications for modern pastors to incorporate these practices, emphasizing the importance of holistic Christian formation and nurturing believers through a variety of means.
After my parents, this is a man I am going to find when I get to heaven.
Wtf
He is hell at this moment, he was never get saved, he spent his whole life on spreading lies, instead of talking the truth. Calvinism is from hell.
@@Jbf27 Geez, pretty rough comment. If Keller did not make it I think we are all in trouble. My 2 cents.
@@Texasbird026 Keller was a calvinist, and calvinism is a doctrine of devil.
Oh. I love Dr Tim keller dearly. I have benefited greatly from his teachings. He is now in heaven hearing his own teaching " well done good and faithful servant." and what a thought.
Listening to this makes me miss this man even more. I am thankful for technology that recorded this so we still have his insight. I pray his son who is a pastor, continues in Pastor Tim’s big shoes.
I miss him.
I learned a lot from this. Thank you, Pastor Tim and TGC.

What conference is this?
The C.S. Lewis of our time.
Falling asleep to this :)
Waking up to this :)
@@Texasbird026 that’s what I’m talking about!
We don’t appreciate the things Calvin did to improve the Church.
Why?
Do you care to explain?
The Lord has opened my eyes to see the danger in the social justice gospel.
This man supported Biden. ‘Nuff said.
Maybe some more should be said. I'm pretty sure Tim Keller didn't advocate for a specific candidate.
Reply to myself. Is this a troll account?
@@karlhauser893 He was a committed never-Trumper, much like Piper. You tell me what happens when you de-motivate people from voting from the man who ended Roe, who provoked no wars, who had no poor beggaring inflation, and who ran an orderly border.
