All of these incredible updates that indeed take quite a long time to fix and make which everyone is absolutely amazed about and feel grateful for. Incredible for rp and adding immersion, but I think I've mentioned the main issue. Immersion, there has been so much "no memes this season bla bla" that last season the navy was a meme (and not only), everything turned into a meme. I'm sick and tired of seeing bullshit like pink gloves on the navy cuz some stupid in house joke, ships shaped like tophats because memes, dumb names (which where supposed to be curated), etc. No fantasy characters yet there's no realism and when some strive hard to actually include immersion its broken by garbage memes and fart jokes and sexual connotation companies and bs like that. I'm tired of seeing people just socialize with rules not rp and the sad thing about it is that no one does anything in this regard, even worse if you make fart jokes and have a checkmark you are a god. Making these mods is hard work and it should serve a purpose of making things vibrant and actually feel like a fictional age of sail, yet in most cases the only thing in common with that age is "ships have sails" that's it. I understand its "fictional" but you also have to understand that immersion comes with some moral and behavioral guidelines. I love this server and I've always admired what it has done along the years but it's always sad to see most rp degenerate in a Circus. This is not a bash it's more of a, um what is going on here really ? I still recommend all my friends to join and experience the small pockets of actual immersive Rp.
100% agree. Hats are stupid. And whoever plays that William Billiam Frompington Shropfordshireington the Fourteenth should be permambanned. Completely unrealistic depiction of the 1700s British Royal Navy life.
@@Username41732 In no way should he be banned or do I have anything against that person in particular despite what people are made to believe, you are allowed to not like something someone does without hating the person, and it's not about the hats. The depiction of the British Navy is set in a fictional world as well which leaves room for imaginative additions to interpretation so in essence it's not supposed to be 100% historically accurate. Yes there where silly names back then, even Lord Admiral Nelson had a uncle with the name Suckling but some get away with too much. The main issues are the constant circus and meme-ing alongside the hypocrisy. Demanding something from others via rules and guidelines but ignoring it yourself (All ships must be realistic in design for the time period (1650-1720). for ex). it's whatever the mass wants I guess as long as the checkmark is happy. As I've said before, its still nice, there's no others like it, and if you find the right people you can def enjoy yourself. This is my personal opinion.
Exactly, the reinforced Brigantine files have been present in the vanilla files for a long time, I used them to make the reinforced schooner since everyone could add these reinforced brigantine files in other mods, I wanted something more exclusive.
Server is pretty much a total overhaul of the Vanilla game, Console does not allow for the mods needed to play on the server, or at least that's how it has been. If you can not play Atlas w/custom community mods then the answer is still no, I would imagine. :(
