    This was quite usefull. I didn't get why you'd want those initial anchors, but i can actually use that in my work instead of my usual workflow. I survey corrosion damage on anythin rusty, and i'd like a better way of displaying the damage than what i do currently, which is: I create primitives (usually a cylinder i.e pipe) and reference all measurements to that or those primitives. I then create a colourmap, making sure that all primitives are within a fair tolerance (we rarely have the opportunity to do a complete circumferal scan) and end up with any pitting clearly displayed. But the range is usually so large that the colourmap is less precise than i'd like and dotting measuments by "feel" to find the deepest pit is less than optimal. So, is there are way for me to mark out, let's say 50 areas of interrest and find the deepest pit in a reasonable way that's presentable to our clients? I'd need precise measurents of each pit displayed without having 50 different colourmaps.
    Happy new year, and thanks.

      Hi, Sorry for the late reply. There isn't an easy way to do this. We have done something similar for some of our customers in the past however it involves writing a macro. This is something that we do charge for as a service. If you would like to know more about this please contact us here - 3dscanners.co.uk/contact-us/

      @@3DScannersUK thank you for replying. I'll have to make do without your services at this point in time, but I'll keep your offer in mind should I need said macro at a later time. In the meantime I'll do it the manual way.

    Hello question when using point or feature labels how do I keep as a default so whenever I create a feature the nominal actual and xyz always appear

    • @3DScannersUK
      @3DScannersUK  8 месяцев назад

      Hi, you will see the nominals for the XYZ values appear by default. For the actuals you will have to either of probed or extracted the feature. Providing the feature type has an eligible dimensional control for an XYZ position.

    @3:07 how did you clean up the scanned data?
    do you have any video link for this?

    • @3DScannersUK
      @3DScannersUK  3 года назад

      Hi, if you have CAD and you are aligned to your data then go to select, data points, using reference object surfaces and select all data within a specified distance of your CAD. Now invert this selection by clicking Ctrl + I and hit delete. Make sure you only have your data visible when doing this though as you can delete the CAD if you're not careful. Hope this helps.
