The story of Cyberpunk is all about how unchecked corporate greed and power ruins every aspect of people's lives. The story of Cyberpunk 2077's development is, ironically, the same story. Which is why the game exists as it does.
@ChicagoReacts Upper Echelon has a series of videos on Cyberpunk 2077 and Quantum Labs the company CDPR hired to do QA (quality assurance) for CP2077, and how (and why) QL failed abysmally at that task, thus making the release of Cyberpunk 2077 the schidd show it was. Upper Echelon (previously Upper Echelon Gamers) does some of the highest quality and integrity investigative journalism on this platform.
A little bit of lore for you. As you know, the game takes place in the year 2077 in one of the last remaining bastions of metropolitan living called Night City. One of the most scientifically advanced cities in the world that was built after an actual nuclear war that was prosecuted not by countries, but by corporations. Namely 2, Arasaka and Militech. Arasaka, as you might have guessed is a Japanese corporation whose primary products are in arms productions and other cybernetics. Militech, (if I remember right) an American based corporation that also produces arms and cybernetics. These 2 companies got into such a heated competition, it lead to ACTUAL WARS. Not like gang wars, but full scale "nation vs nation" type wars. And you play as "V" which canonically either means Vincent or Valarie depending on what gender you play as. V with his/her best friend Jackie Wells go on a heist to steal a device from Arasaka called the "relic" from a project that they were working on known as the "secure your soul" project. Long story short, you have to slot the biochip into your head, get betrayed, and now have to play through the game with a dead terrorist living in your head by the name of Johnny Silverhand played by Keanu Reaves, with the intent on finding out a way of separating the 2 of you without killing yourself and before he takes over your body and mind.
Alright for Starters, Cyberpunk Edgerunners It kinda is a prequel that dates a year before the events of 2077, but also is a game adaptación of a old series of pen and paper roleplaying games,oh and that absolute banger that almost left you deaf at the start? That's "Cyber ninja" a legitimate Boss music theme ingame. And no,i am a consola peasant, got the last gen copy.
I finished playing cyberpunk about a month ago. Honestly the game is way much better right now. I noticed some bugs but nothing game braking mostly it was items floating after i dumped body into a locker or something. And the game worked on my avarage laptop so if anyone wanna play it but is afraid its not gonna work i'm just gonna tell you to try for me it worked on hard settings really well.
08:53 I have been running this game on an i7-3770 3.4 GHZ from 2012 and a 1080 TI from 2016 and still get 50fps on near ultra graphics even on release. My biggest issues were the unpredictable dropped frames that would come and go.
Hey Kip I have a tip for you: On RUclips when you press "," or "." you can search through specific frames so you don't have to get the timing right with pausing on a 1 frame joke trust me it really helps.
I played on ps5 and started after the 1.5 update and only encountered 1 glitch which was more funny than annoying I think it’s still broken on the old gen consoles though
Played it when there was surplus at walmart on ps4, ran into glitches that were more comical, like bike falling from 500 feet into the air when i called for it and corpse morphing into server rack.
unfun fact, a taxi mod just got added yesterday, its 17 KB The USSR still exists in the cyberpunk universe Also the vast majority of systems need DLSS or FSR on to hit 60 fps, I have a 2600X and an RX 5700, high-ish settings at 1440p get 30 ish fps with upscaling off
4:12 - Next time you're dealing with split-second hunt like this, I recommend using "," and "." buttons on your keyboard to go backwards and forwards one frame respectively.
I pre-ordered on pc and had little issue with glitches sure there was some textures loading in during cutscenes which made some vehicles and clothes blurry and have had a couple bodies get stuck in car hoods when run over but I don't mind a glitch or two. (I still enjoy fallout new vegas after all.) Most of the time I'm fighting generic gang members so I wasn't gonna look at them long and it loaded quick in other situations. Doesn't help I have a computer who's graphics card hasn't been upgraded since I put the computer together 14 years ago. The various updates they've added have only made the game better. I highly recommend playing it. They've also added new weapons vehicles quests and clothes thruought the updates. They even added loot and a sidequest around the edgerunner anime that takes place before the games story. With special items in certian areas from the show as the areas ingame and in the show are 1 to 1 with each other. If you watch the show you'll recognize areas in the game and if you play the game you'll recognize areas in the show. They are even coming out with a new story focused dlc soon that they say will be their most ambitious dlc yet even more so than the beloved witcher dlcs.
@@S.A.F.T.I You forgot the part where the easiest way to become a powerful is through extensive DRINKING. And the best way to restore mana is to cast the spell on yourself, that makes you potato stupid for one second. And the part where hand to hand is useless fighting technique that can accidentally stunlock and kill ANYONE once you actually get that skill level high enough. It's a mess. It's a broken mess where you become god accidentally, then die miserably because spell reflect is a thing and that cheat-like spell of 8 stacks of poison, 100pts can be reflected back at you.
So, I finished the game on my gtx 1650 + r5 1600, average 35 fps, low-mid settings low-end pc's can run the game and it's playable most of the in your face bugs have been fixed, though not all of them and horrible car physics are not noticable if you decide to use the superior method of transportation -- bikes, exclusively also there are mods that fix cars the story is amazing, atmosphere superb and it's a great game, despite the flaws
Yeah not sure where this idea of needing a super speced computer as most of my computer is 2012 components with a 1080ti from 2016. Only recent upgrade I have made was an SSD. I just don't see the need to upgrade with the current stagnation of computer graphics and hardware compared to the cost. Most games I am playing, even recently released I can play with high-ultra graphics and get 50-60fps, it used to be you needed to upgrade every 2-3 years or games were almost unplayable now it seems the combination of graphics stagnation and better optimisation means you can go alot longer before feeling forced to upgrade.
4:30 - I love the fact that Sseth is so effective that he overtook the image of a real world african warlord as his own face in the minds of online community.
I played pc version of cyberpunk 2077 at launch, and I was lucky I guess since I didn't have any game breaking bugs, and I loved it. Since then I'd say most of the bugs have been ironed out, and if you look at reviews, the recent ones are positive.
I had one game breaking bug when a quest didn't properly initialize at the start of the game, restarted the game and went back a save and it fixed itself. Mostly it was the weird/funny bugs like NPCs still holding guns during cutscenes, Silverhand sitting on an invisible bucket ect. The only thing that really destroyed the experience for me was the god awful Police teleportation and NPCs suddenly disappearing as soon as they leave your field of view. Edit: To clarify this was on PC release not console.
Please someone tell Kit he can use "," and ";" to go frame by frame when he wants to pause on a specific thing. Especially when it's a Max0r video where there is a meme every two frames.
It was going to be better than The Witcher.....but upper management just f**king HAD to have a celebrity guest star! So they had maybe 18 months to change literally everything they had worked on since 2014 and stick an emergency landing!
needs computer made to fight god , are he f*ing serious? . i am using videocard from one of first batches of publicly sold GTX1050 2 GB , its not even not even meeting minimum spec and playing on 1920*1080 + high textures and low on all other graphics setings and still getting 40+ fps lol
Kinda disapointed he got brainwashed into shitting on everything and taking ithe critissim at face value without any unace sure Cyberpunk is still brokebn but its still fun to play with some unique mechanics and good story while bethasada fallout has its own strenghts i mean who the fuck wants to ahve time mission from th start that dosnt lets you explore the world like fallout 1 does.
