@@darrenhall6400 No not really, but it is more a question of innovation and quality for Scalextric. If they are worth the money then people will buy them. I think they need to make some changes going forward.
@@CasselRacinghey Bryce no worries, yes very reasonable I think but it isn't about the price, it is about the quality of the product and quality control. I have never had a Scalextric that runs bad, always a smooth mesh and they aren't slow cars. Just by making a few changes like removable / adjustable magnets, wider arches to fit aftermarket wheels and hop up motors that would be a step in the right direction. How much do you pay for a Scalextric?
@@SlotCar2021 yes completely agree and I think much of the core slot car community shares that same sentiment. I have a local hobby shop, in a shopping mall, that does carry Scalextric. Their prices have always been WAY over the top, $89.99 - $109.99. Sadly I will not support them. Personally I’d rather support an online business that’s business is purely slot cars, someone in the community. That said the latest Scalextric releases in Canada online are around $74.99 - $79.99. It’ll be interesting to see how this all plays out, with all brands.
Cheers Paul
It’s not much of a price rise 👍👍

Oh those increases aren’t that bad at all. Thanks Paul, sorry for the name mix up on the TSCG live. Thanks for sharing this!

Nice one paul
Cheers, clarity is key otherwise it can get blown out of Proportion. Seems like minimal increases.
