There are different types of surgeries conducted for treating different types of diseases and ailments. These surgeries include trauma surgery, laparoscopic surgery, colorectal surgery, breast surgery, vascular surgery, endocrine surgery, transplant surgery, surgical oncology, cardiothoracic surgery and pediatric surgery.
This video focuses on discussing the specific type of surgery called laparoscopic surgery which is one of the advanced forms of surgery performed by doctors these days to treat regular as well as complex diseases.
Laparoscopic surgery is a type of surgical procedure which is performed through small telescopic equipment which allows doctors to reach the organ with less incision and perform the surgery efficiently. Laparoscopic surgeries consist of laparoscopic appendectomy, assisted abdominal laparoscopic hysterectomy, total laparoscopic hysterectomy and laparoscopic hernia. All these surgeries require precision and efficiency which is brought by the technological advancement and equipment available to doctors to perform such surgeries.
There are some benefits of laparoscopic surgery which results in smaller cuts on the patient’s body, faster recovery from wounds, less number of leaves required by the patient from their work and less pain and discomfort experienced by the patients. Since the equipment is accurate, there are less to zero chances of any internal injury caused during the surgery. All this has shaped the future of general surgery and made it much safer and more effective for patients. They can trust the procedures and are willing to opt for surgeries keeping faith in doctors and the equipment used in surgeries.
