I received them a couple of days ago and i was stunned: they're very lightweight, the leather quality is actually incredible and all that comes for a very competitive price... That's how you make customers happy
Just got a pair of the 442 v2 pros and after playing for my first 60mins, I experienced serious blisters in the heel area. I'm not discounting them yet, but they are going to take me some serious getting used to. The blister was on my left heel and surprisingly it is my left foot that is bigger than my right. I thought the right would get blisters, as the boots are on the slightly bigger side, but apparently not. Must admit though, the toe-box and surround is super comfy! The heel was the only let down, and the boot was a little wider than I expected.
Unfortunate to hear the 442 v2’s have that problem too. I have the v1’s & even with taping my heels & double socks, they tear up my heels after awhile. I did order 1/2 size down as they were way too long in my normal size. Ended up relegating them for use when I coach micro as I can’t survive playing 1.5-2hr rec games in them.
I have a pair of furon v7 destroys and those did destroy my heel as well. it was on my right foot which is the bigger foot as well. I think it might be due to the construction issues with the brand new balance itself
Haven't tried the NB's, but I use the Legend 9 Pros and they are decent. However, the area around the heel is a little stiff for longer than most leather boots and the glue job isn't great where the upper and sole meet.
I got the 8 Elite cause I didn’t like the tongue on the 9, but the 8 gave me a blister on my left heel the first time I played a game in them. I should have taken them off after 30 minutes.
Ten years ago a top end Tiempo was about $160 US dollars at full retail, in the the form of the Legend 4. Nike in very late 2013 released the venerable Legend 5, but the price was hiked up to $200 if I recall. And now here is the Legend 9 Elite at $230 released in 2021. $230 has been the MSRP for the top of the line Tiempo for a few years now. Will it go up again? I really hope not, but I wouldn’t be too surprised. Both Nike and Adidas have upped the price of their top end football boots to keep a healthy profit margin in the face of inflation. As much as I like top end Vapors and have owned several models, $250 MSRP is pretty step for a boot made of synthetic materials and plastic.
Joe, will you review the 442 “Team” takedown? The white colorway of those with the gray “N” has some dad shoe vibes and I’d love to have a pair of football boots that I could also mow the lawn with
I think its just that whtie colorway of 442's that dont have all leather upper. I do believe the black version is the same as the limited editions, but dont take my word for it.
Its easy to tell, do you see wrinkles in the material, or just an even dimple? Leather wrinkles a million times and is extremely soft, synthetic will barely wrinkle, if even crease
I've currently got both of these and am trying to get the 442's broken in more, but on first impressions it's comfortable out of the box and flexible and definitely feels light. I might prefer the slightly more dampened feel that you get with the memory foam on the tiempos but I'm still not sure. Eagerly waiting for the new furons to come out though
@@saulrodriguez4420 me personally I would say I was surprised how quickly the 442 was able to accommodate my wide foot. I would say the tiempo pro is just slightly narrower and took a bit longer to fit to my wide foot. Just my unprofessional opinion! 😄
I have always been frustrated that Nike make a Premier with really nice K-leather that may not be the highest level for $110, and a Tiempo Pro out of calfskin for $130 but. Tiempo legend costs $230. If the argument is the legend has better quality leather then just give me the Premier leather of the Pro boot.
Are the wider feet variations really wider? There are a lot of people and they say that the normal variations are wider than the wider variations. Can you do a video about that please? I really want to know how wider there are actually than the normal variation.
I own a pair of Tiempo Legend 9 Elites and Mizuno Morelia DNAs and I’m actually kind of surprised at how different they feel considering they are both Kangaroo leather boots.
Kangaroo leather does not matter if the construcción is totally different. Different lining, different ant-stretch meathods, thickness, soleplates, etc. Those two boots are night and day
How's the performance specifically does the raised pods for "touch" make a difference between the tiempo and new balance that lacks the "touch" technology?
Josh my team plays both on ag and fg suitable grounds. Should i go with MG then? What MG boot do u reccomend which are below 200$ US dollar price range
It’s actually slightly disappointing to know that the white 442s are not fully leather, or even at least on the medial side, which makes lot of contact with the ball. Does that mean that the full leather upper is reserved only for the gold model? Much as I like the looks of it, I’ll never be able to carry it off - also will get ribbed to death in our senior league!
Only the limited edition is fully leather, the mass-produced one isn't as far as I can tell, which is a deal-breaker for me. I rather go with the premier in that case
The new 442 fg sole/studs look the same as the v1 442s. I managed two games in my v1 442s then one of the heel studs snapped off. As nice as the new version looks, will definitely be avoiding.👎
Hi boss. I would like to know what do u think of the the mizuno monarcida neo ... techincally a takedown model for the morelia neo but it comes in a MIJ model which is comparable to the neo MIJ . Wore mine last night in a game (gold version). Unbelievable. So comfy, so light. So much nicer than tiempo 9s
I think the perfect boot is a leather upper with synthetic through the midfoot for lockdown. I have Mizuno morelias now, but wow those nbs look sickkk
