The movie you’re referring to is "Figures in a Landscape". This British film was directed by Joseph Losey and released in 1970. The plot follows two escapees, MacConnachie and Ansell (played by Robert Shaw and Malcolm McDowell respectively), who are on the run in an unspecified but seemingly Latin-American country. Head butts. In the book that character was trained in an obscure and little known form of karate, one in which you are required to defeat your opponent without using your arms or legs. This resulted in the combatants engaging in long and drawn out head-butting contests, often resulting in fatalities. You can clearly hear the 5 or 6 hollow thumps as Shaw's character dispatches the hapless goat herder. The explanation is in the book but left out of the screenplay unfortunately, creating confusion amongst some viewers, such as yourself.
My very first thought was that their wrists are only semi loosely tied with rope, why the heck wasn't the first thing they did was stand back to back and loosen the knots and free each other, stupid !!!!! Not going to bother wasting my time watching the rest when it all starts with an obvious ballsup in the story line.

What's the year and actors' names and where was it filmed? I believe I saw this in the late-1970s on late night T.V. It seems as though they were escaped foreign criminals in an unknown-ficticious country and the local police-gendarmerie or army were absolute dunces, who were incapable of recapturing them, but got around 20 or more of their own members wasted by these men.

After that, EVERY ONE of His WORDS WILL be FULFILLED in the AGE of the MILLENNIUM KINGDOM, they will become reality visible to human eyes, and people will see them with their own eyes without the slightest difference. This is the highest meaning of God's incarnation. WHICH MEANS, the WORK of the SPIRIT is FULFILLED THROUGH the FLESH, and THROUGH WORDS. ☀️
THIS is the REAL MEANING OF "the Word became flesh" and "the manifestation of the Word in flesh."
ONLY GOD CAN SPEAK the WILL of the SPIRIT, and ONLY GOD in the FLESH CAN SPEAK on BEHALF of the SPIRIT; the WORDS of GOD are MADE PLAIN in the FLESH of GOD, and EVERYTHING is GUIDED by IT. 🌹
No one is not covered, they all exist within its scope. Only from these utterances can people understand; those who cannot understand this are dreaming if they think they will understand these words they think they will understand these words in heaven.
Such is the authority manifested in the flesh of God: that makes all believe. EVEN the MOST RESPECTED EXPERTS and RELIGIOUS PASTORS CANNOT UTTER these WORDS.
They must believe the word, and no one can make a new beginning. GOD will USE WORDS that WILL CONQUER the UNIVERSE. He WILL DO this NOT with His FLESH, but with UTTERANCES from the MOUTH of GOD who BECAME FLESH to CONQUER ALL PEOPLE in the ENTIRE UNIVERSE; ONLY this is the WORD MADE FLESH, and this ONLY is the APPEARANCE of the WORD in the FLESH. 🙏
Perhaps, to people, it seems that God has not done everything completely----but GOD must FIRST SPEAK His WORDS so that PEOPLE can FULLY BELIEVE, and for them to be COMPLETELY IMPRESSED.
In the absurd, people shout and wait; at the word of God, they are silent. God will certainly achieve this truth, because this is God's long-term plan: fulfilling the truth of the coming of the Word to earth.
In FACT, there is NO NEED for Me to EXPLAIN---the COMING of the MILLENNIUM KINGDOM on EARTH is the COMING of GOD'S WORDS on EARTH. 🙏
The DESCENT of the NEW JERUSALEM from HEAVEN is the COMING of the WORDS of GOD that will LIVE with MAN, that WILL GUIDE EVERY ACTION of MAN, and ALL of HIS WHOLE WILL--INNER THOUGHTS. ☀️🙏
