單刀法選 is a 400-years-old Chinese Long-Saber (Dandao / Miao Dao) manual. It originally contained techniques against the Spear, but here we adapted those techniques to be used against another Long-Saber user.

Dan dao just mean single saber, a saber that you use without any off hand weapon like a shield, most of the time they are 2 handed, big, curve and heavy cutters. Miao dao is a descendant of the Ming dynasty's dandao made in 20th century, lighter, straighter and use the same type of blade shape similar to European officer's saber (since China was colonized by the West by that time)
