Oh my goodness!!! You got Rabbi Tovia! ❤❤
I’m an agnostic theist and truly love you both! You both bring light to the world.
Coming across the Tanakh and Rabbi Tovia Singer was my reason for realizing the falsehood of Christianity. I left Christianity and never looked back. I have much respect for Rabbi Tovia Singer.
Tovia is as sharp as they come!
@@newyearuser2025 you have respect for a Zionist agent?
@@Deconstruction_Zone I agree that he’s sharp. But, he does not apply the same level of criticism when he reads the Hebrew Bible. Nor does he apply the same level of criticism against Israel’s treatment of the Palestinians. However, I’m glad you were able to put these things aside in this video in order to nail down the truth about Isaiah 53.
@@dklind Isaiah 53.: 8.. It clearly states one man that was oppressed and held, takes upon the sins of the people YHWH inherited and was killed. If you think this is about israel which people will be made to believe, then israel takes upon the sins of the world, and are all killed, which it obviously doesnt. Isaiah 53.: 9 Only one man was assigned a grave with the wicked rich, and did no violence or lied. If you still think this is talkin about Israel, then they all died with the ricjh and wicked were all pure in speech and never commited violent acts, didnt have to repent or sacrfice, then you need to go back to junior school and learn to comprehend what is written in scriptures as verse 9 would cancel verse 8 completely in a Tovia explanation because at the time of prophesy, YHWH didnt own the world, it was still in the balance. People should learn to understand what a judas goat is.
@@Bluebaggins You’re helicopter landing in the middle of your foreshadows and typologies. That’s why you crash your Jesus ark. This isn’t a prophecy. Do you understand Deut.18? It clearly lays out the rules. Only vampires live in forshadows and feed on the blood of the living. Are you a vampire? If you want forgiveness for your sins… just ask. Stop lying and slandering and ask for forgiveness.
Jesus did commit violence in the temple and kicked out the merchants. Was Jesus a liar:
The central problem with Matthew 16:27-28 lies in its specific, time-bound prophecy, which has a finite expiration date. Jesus prophesies that:
• The Son of Man is ABOUT to come in the glory of His Father with His angels.
• He will repay each person according to their deeds.
• Some standing here will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.
These statements clearly indicate that if everyone in Jesus’ immediate audience dies before these events occur, the prophecy is false.
Bring Rabbi Tovia back for Micah 5:2!
Classic collaboration.

Rational Approach To Divine Origin of Judaism - simpletoremember
@@trashtrash18
Just finished watching it. Not seeing where he actually proves his point that Judaism is any different than any other religion. I thought he was saying that there are no differences but the comments seem otherwise.
@ well his entire lecture is how the origins of judaism is unique claim than every other religion. But I appreciate that you took time to watch it at least
@
I deconstructed from Christianity years ago. I get the chain of evidence he claims from present to past but I reject it as hearsay. The Old Testament is not accurate historically, biologically, scientifically etc. Dating of the books along with the anonymity of the writers also problematic in my opinion.
My understanding is that it was never for the masses either.
the whole point is that the writings of the Judeans never had anything to do with you and were never the business of your ancestors to misappropriate.
I had to send a video of Rabbi Tovia on this very topic to someone who was bold enough to appeal to "the rabbis" who had "forbidden" this chapter from being read because they KNOW it's about Jesus.
The need 2 believe....smh
Many missionaries often claim that "the Rabbis" have deliberately eliminated this chapter from the Haftorah portions (section from Prophets that is read every Shabbat after the Torah reading) in an effort to suppress the fact that Isaiah is talking about Jesus. The Haftorah system was established nearly 200 years before the common era/Christianity, when Jews were prohibited to read and learn the Torah (pre-Chanukah revolt)
This fact is even documented in the NT
Also the haftorah is meant to be comfort verses, and a chapter about suffering wouldnt be included in the comfort chapters. and i53 isnt the only one that is skipped over, it includes less than 5% of the prophets... almost every chapter is skipped
EXCELLENT interview! Thank you Justin for hosting Rabbi Singer.
Why does no one ever challenge Singer on the moral character of Yahweh? Does he only give friendly interviews?
Yeah I found this interview to be very disappointing. Especially seeing as Rabbi Tovia's religious beliefs are being used to justify the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people in the country he lives in. Judaism is just as vile as the other two Abrahamic religions.
i challenge him to name a thing without a creator and he named 3 things with creators then kicked me off his show, guy is a loser.
The last guy who described doing exactly what you just said was also on the Line with Matt Dillahunty and he didn't introduce himself or ask how the hosts were, he was immediately hostile and did his stuoid little question and was just a jerk, then he got kicked. I'm assuming that's you, and if that's how you carry yourself then you are the loser. You have to be capable of civil conversation and you aren't able to do that, especially with that kind of question. That doesn't sound like a civil conversation starter, it sounds like an arrogant gotcha and then when the question doesn't get answered the way you want it, you get belligerent.
Pretty sure Tovia called this God a psycho like 39 min in so, there you go. No challenge is necessary lol.
Rabbi Tovia Singer!! 😎❤
Sweet! Im excited to watch
This was a great video. But am I the only one who saw the elephant in the room? On numerous occasions, Rabbi Singer tried to bait Justin into feeding it but he redirected his hand. Well done Justin.
I tell this to so many Christians, and all they tell is that I'm taking it out of context or I don't understand the exegesis of the Bible
@@memecity9849 I think Tovia stays away from any debates or challenges to his 180 degree treatment of the Torah and Yahweh . As Dr Kipp pointed out to me Tovia has too much livelihood and most probably emotion invested in his religion to ever think about critically looking at it the same way he does the New Testament. Hoping one day he does because he is a gem!
Justin why didn’t you press rabbi on slavery, infanticidal practices, stoning women for not bleeding on wedding night? Just to name a few.
It wasn't a debate.
@ I get it Justin, I was born into 7th Day Adventist and am 66 years old. I was sent to a religious seminary at 16 and at the time I was inspired to become a pastor but after ready the Bible for the 5th time I became an Atheist.
So I am bias against the entire Bible so I have never met a Ribbi I like because they are as dishonest as a Christian apologist.
I love your podcast, thank you for doing what you do.
Funny thing, doesn’t the rabbi realize that when you cook and roast Christians you are doing it to the Torah as well?
I guarantee you that if you start roasting Judaism, they will label you an antisemite and cancel your channel!
@@izzynutExactly, he rightly complains about the Muslims reactions but promotes this guy. Never criticizes what Israel is doing in the name of Judaism. There’s a huge number of atheist Jewish people who do criticize it. Justin lost me on this one.
Great interview!
I feel like the scripture is so much more interesting now that I’m no longer a believer. Thank you both for providing such a deep dive.
I was absolutely one of those Christians that would just regurgitate whatever I heard in church and never bothered with trying to deeply understand the Bible.
i don't mind the team-up against fundies, but i had hoped Justin kept that same energy, because Tovia believes in the God of the OT, and Justin thinks that God is a monster.
Agreed, rather disappointing that Justin failed to even challenge Tovia in any substantive fashion, given the former's atheism and the latter's fundamentalism. Is Justin a secret Gentile convert to Judaism that's merely pretending to be a deconstructed atheist/former evangelical Christian? 😂 If one wasn't familiar with his prior postings, one might be plausibly suspicious 😮.
calling it the OT, and interpretting the Tanach through a xtian lense is a xtian belief. It always astounds me how so many atheists can't let go of the xtian belief of supersessionism/replacement theology. Xtianity needs to paint the Judean beliefs in a negative light in order to support it's assertion that it has replaced it. And atheists still agree with that religious belief, it's hilarious. Maybe you should just step away from the writings of the Judeans, that Paul (and the other one) who wrote awful fan fictions when they misappropriated histories and stories of a people that they had no business stealing from. Imagine a world where Paul (and the other one a few hundred years later) had died of a disease before getting the chance to spread his fan fiction in the world. The Judeans would remain a small ethnic group holding onto their culture (much like the Yazidis), and would have never had anything to do with you or your ancestors.
There's a time and place for that sort of debate, but the focus of this video is to get a Rabbi's interpretation of this section of Isaiah. It doesn't make any sense to put him in the line of fire for this discussion.
This is a classic and much needed exposition .Thank you Rabbi and Justin!
So happy to see this duo 🔥

Tovia is great, but Judaism is also a manmade religion. He mentioned Occams Razor and he should apply it to Judaism as he does Christianity. All religions are manmade. He said Isaiah does not contradict Torah, but it does in chapter 1 by forbidding animal sacrifices. All religions are manipulative tools. Just live your best life and escape the oppression of gods.
I don't disagree but I respect the expertise that Tovia brings to the table even if we disagree on some parts
Ooo nice, wasn't expecting to see this today, but I know what I'm watching now!
Was hoping though sooner or later you'd get a Rabbi on to analyse and talk about why the Old Testament is not about Jesus, why he isn't the messiah (heck why the messiah isn't god nor supposed to die at all, let alone bring spiritual salavation from sins, but actually physical political salvation from surrounding enemy nations), and why the New Testament gets it completely wrong and contradicts it at every turn.
Anyways, always love your interviews, and hoping you get Kipp Davis, Dan McClellan, or Matt Monger on sometime (just to complete the Diablocritics lineup if nothing else😅).
Now, the rabbi only has one more set of nonsense beliefs to let go of.
This is an excellent presentation on how to read Isaiah correctly. Context matters. I have been an atheist for fifty years. I started reading the bible from the age of twelve. I came to the same conclusion that Rabbi Tovia and many others have about the "servant " mentioned many times in Isaiah. It is unquestionably the nation of Israel. Yeshua Ben Yosef did not fulfil one of the Jewish messianic prophecies. This is an insurmountable hurdle for all flavours of "christianity." Thank you both for a brilliant video. 👏
Ha! I love this collab😃
Regarding seed/offspring, prolonging life, and spoils:
🔸Jews will have offspring multiplied in the end days: Deut 30:5, Jeremiah 3:16, Ezekiel 36:11, Isaiah 60:22, Zechariah 10:8-9.
The next chapter 54 uses the imagery of a barren woman (God's bride, Israel) also described as rejected (54:6) and afflicted city (54:11), transforming from 'barren' to seeing descendents (54:1, 3). The servant's offspring is a key element that emerges after his suffering, a shift from being "few in numbers" (Deut 4:27).
Isaiah 49:20-21 - Here, Israel is portrayed as a bereaved and barren woman, shocked by the sudden increase of her children
🔸Isaiah 65:20 and Zechariah 8:4, talks about physically increasing the lifespan of the Chosen People in the Messianic age (which hasn't happened yet, because Isaiah 53 has not happened yet!) while Jesus had a short lifespan and died in his 30s.
🔸Ezekiel 39:9-10 explicitly describes the righteous remnant taking spoils from the defeated enemies. And in Zechariah 14:14 righteous remnant sharing in the spoils after divine intervention. In Isaiah 60:5-11 the kings of nations bring spoils to israel. Isaiah 33:23 says "an abundance of spoils will be divided" among the Jews.
It's about freaking time👊😃
Love this.
That was a fun conversation.
I thirst for truth and facts and this is one of my favorite watering holes.
Dear Rabbi, it isn't just only Jewish hostages returning home looking like they've been through hell... The people of Gaza have no home to even return to. And oh, are in very real danger of being wiped out by YOUR people.
"WE are the special people" is why we're in this mess we are today by the way.

Regarding the pronominal suffix in Isaiah 53.8 (42:00), Tovia might be too dismissive of the possibility that it could be singular. The singular function of the suffix -mô is not only supported by Isaiah 44.15 (where even the JPS translation renders lāmô as with a singular pronoun, contra Tovia), but other prepositions also seem to use -mô as a singular suffix, so פנימו in Ps 11.7 and עלימו in Job 20.23, 22.2, and 27.23 (all translated with a singular pronoun in JPS).
Interesting catch. I guess the question needs to be asked is, how could to be both plural and singular?
Such a great conversation.
It would be interesting to hear Tovia Singer’s take on Leviticus 25. Also the verses concerning the genocide and land grabbing commands.

so you believe in replacement theology - a religious belief. right. gotcha.
I'm sure he has an apologetic for that but this wasn't a debate
I don't think there are any good Christians. We all became Atheists because we read the book and not just listen to the man at the lectern.
In 53:10 God was "pleased" to cause suffering to the servant - this can only refer to Israel corroborated by other passages
Deuteronomy 28:63. And it will be, just as the Lord rejoiced over you to do good for you and to increase you, so will the Lord 👉rejoice👈 over you to annihilate you and to destroy you"
God does rejoice when he is causing Israel to experience the suffering of the exile, the reason is that there is a purpose to the suffering, and only with this suffering can that purpose come about, and their suffering is a refining process (Isaiah 48:10 "See, I have refined you, though not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.")
NOWHERE does the bible say God has joy in the suffering of the Messiah.
Who's going to tell the rabbi that the 'Hebrew bible' is also a book of historical fiction (as is the NT)?
you miss the point. the histories/stories/culture of the Judeans were misappropriated and mistranstlated and the antisemitic claim of the NT and the Quran is that the Judeans were replaced and also evil for not adhering to fan-fiction "replacements". If it wasn't for the xtians and that other religion violently spreading their fan fictions around the globe, the Judeans would have remained a small group much like the Yazidis. The Judeans never wanted this. They wanted to keep to themselves and be left alone. They never set out to convert anyone. Their histories/stories/culture were noones business but their own.
And they did the same. They stole and rewrote stories from other religious texts and gods.
Incredible

I’ve been watching Tovia for a couple years now, just got into deconstruction zone a few months ago and I’m happy to see this collab!
I generally agree with Jewish commentary on the failures of Christianity. I understand deconstructing from Christianity. The crucifixion story is imagery and prophecy for two appearances, within the same generation.
I was never really a Christian (Fig Tree). Esau wields his sword in service to Jabob, throws off his yoke, becomes a restless wander and dwells far from earth. Adam had a forest of trees to learn from. He was then clothed from the nakedness of the day he wields the fiery sword, Adam, the only unique Son of G-d.
If you presuppose that Jesus is in the old testament and look for him in an attempt to confirm that presupposition, guess what you will find?
As Hitchens sarcastically quoted, "seek and you shall find". If one begins that search with the aforementioned presupposition, the likelihood of 'finding' Jesus in the Old Testament is incredibly high.
I wanted to know about Malachi? What is so salacious about Malachi?
The enemy of my enemy is my friend? You don't believe in any of these texts and yet you entertain this.. what a joke
Judaism isn't my enemy tho. It's a no brainer to talk to a Jewish rabbi on interpreting the Hebrew bible in it's original context.

@ From what I remember, he wants non-Jews to be Noahides, I could be wrong though.
@@andymoshi True. I must laugh. He needs to direct his critical thinking skills to his own religion, an incoherent mashup of previous beliefs, as consistently as he applies them to Christianity.
It’s special pleading all the way down.
the interpretation of the G-d of the Tanach was painted in a negative way because of replacement theology. it is hilarious how many atheists hold on for dear life to that religious belief. You have no idea how many tentacles of xitainty you have entwined in your perception of the world.

I enjoyed this discussion but felt the rabbi had some misconceptions about Christianity. A big one: I've never met a Christian who would describe Hebrew as a "holy" language. The version of Christianity I grew up with would almost certainly hold the opinion that God's message actually transcends the language it was written in, and we need god to help us interpret the text correctly no matter which translation/language we are reading. I'd also say that many fundamentalist sects of Christianity DO place value on learning the original languages. My church held Greek and Hebrew classes for members to attend. But to the main point, yes: *most* Christians do not spend time trying to understand the original language or intent behind the passages.
Thank you.
I'm like 88% sure he means "pernicious" instead of "promiscuous" but I can see it both ways. Promiscuously.
When I hear "arm of the lord" am I supposed to imagine a limb, or am I supposed to imagine like a sword? I.e. "arm" as in "side-arm" and "armed".
Anti-apologists are quick to embrace Tovia Singer in a sort "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" maneuver. Singer is well-educated, gifted rhetorically, and correct about Christianity by and large. Ask him about anything else, though. Ask him about LGBT rights. Ask him about politics. Ask him about Netanyahu literally quoting 1 Samuel 15 regarding Gaza. Rabbi Tovia was one of my go to sources on the counter-apologetics of Christianity back when I was Jewish. Although I'm now an atheist, taking my skepticism of the NT to the Torah I used to believe in, Rav is surely not only knowledgeable but also clear in his communication. Simple breakdowns and easy to follow.
English is a very dynamic and bastard language. Vocabulary is constantly growing for many reasons. English was heavily influenced by many languages, for it is so widely used in many nations. And influences like Shakespeare, Francis Bacon, Royal Navy, industrial revolution, technology, warfare, printing, science, the Victorian empire, bibles, literature, dictionaries, the USA, Hollywood, music, business, internet and computers. The older influencing languages include Celtic, Saxon, Norse, French, German, Greek, Latin, and Scandinavian words. And interactions in various regions such as Scotland, Ireland.
What a kind and gracious man. Thank Rabbi, for your time. You are a breath of fresh air in this landscape of Christians who don't understand the actual text they hold in such high regard.
Since it isn't sufficient for Christians that the author identifies the servant as Israel 8 times in prior chapters, we can go deeper with linguistic analysis:
🔷Isaiah 54:11 "oh, afflicted one" (the afflicted one is Israel)
🔷Isaiah 60:14 "all who DESPISED you AFFLICTED you (Israel)"
🔷Zephaniah 3:19 "all who afflicted you." (the righteous remnant, they will tell no lies and do no wrong)
🔷Psalm 44:24 "our affliction" (the righteous remnant, innocent sheep led to the slaughter)
(also entirety of isaiah 49, 13 "God will have compassion on his afflicted ones"
The same root word 'afflicted' is used in different forms.
🔶Isaiah 53:4 [וּמְעֻנֶּֽה] "and afflicted."
🔶Isaiah 53:7 [נַעֲנֶה֮] "afflicted,"
🔷Isaiah 54:11 [עֲנִיָּ֥ה] “O afflicted city,"
🔷Isaiah 60:14 [מְעַנַּ֔יִךְ] "of your afflictors"
🔷Zeph 3:19 [מְעַנַּ֖יִךְ] "all who afflicted you"
🔷Psalm 44:24 [עׇנְיֵ֣נוּ] "our affliction"
The previous chapter (52) also mentions that Israel is oppressed without cause at the hands of the gentile nations:
🔷Isaiah 52:4 (NKJV): Thus says the Lord: "My people went down at first Into Egypt to dwell there; Then the Assyrian oppressed them without cause."
Let's go over some verses:
🔶Verse 53:2 "He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground."
In Isaiah 60:21-22 the author clearly confirms that the shoot God planted is referring to the people of Israel, even using plural "They are the shoot I have planted ... the smallest a mighty nation.". (This chapter also identifies them as the AFFLICTED and DESPISED 60:14-15)
See also: Hosea 14:6-7, Amos 9:15, 2 Samuel 7:10, Psalm 80:8-9, 15, Ezekiel 19:13, Hosea 2:23. This imagery of a plant struggling to grow in dry earth has been used throughout the Bible as referring to the Jews.
2 Samuel 7:10 also mentioned that the planted Israel is afflicted [לְעַנּוֹת֔וֹ] with the same root word in 53:4 and 53:7.
The root in dry ground is also paralleled in the next chapter (54) in which the formerly infertile "barren" woman (God's bride, Israel) has descendents (54:1,3⮂53:10⮂49:20-21) and prospers. She is also described as despised, rejected, forsaken, afflicted (53:6, 53:11)
🔶Verse 53:5 is a classic example of mistranslation: The verse does not say, “He was wounded for our transgressions and crushed for our iniquities,” Rather, the proper translation is: “He was wounded because of our transgressions, and crushed because of our iniquities.” The Servant suffered as a result of the sinfulness of others - not the opposite as Christians contend - that the Servant suffered to atone for the sins of others.
🔶Verse 53:8 the use of the Hebrew word "them" (למו) (the final word in the sentence) shows that the servant of Isaiah 53 is not a single individual. Christian Bibles escape this by changing the text from "them" to "he" or “him”. Which is inaccurate. This is translated properly by Chabad. Here are verses where all the Christian translations translate the same word correctly: Psalm 99:7 , Psalm 73:18 , Psalm 73:6 , Isaiah 48:21 , Isaiah 30:5 , Isaiah 26:14 , Isaiah 26:16 , Isaiah 23:1. There is only 1 anomaly among the ~60 verses which contain this word, but it can be resolved if asked.
🔶Verse 53:9 also shows that the servant has to be a plural group of people and not a single individual, because the plural word "deaths" (בְּמֹתָ֑יו).
Google Translate is very faulty but here is an example that showcases this:
["at his death" = "במותו"]
["at his multiple deaths" = "במותיו"]
The letter yud (י) makes this word plural, and if it was a singular death then it would be without the yud: "במותו". This is translated properly by Chabad.
Christians argue that the word deaths is plural here to signify an intense, emphatic death, but this interpretation is less likely given the 1:1 parallel with Zephaniah.
Open up these 2 side by side:
- Isaiah 53:9 (NKJV)
- Zephaniah 3:13 (NKJV)
Isaiah describes the servant in the same exact words that Zephaniah used for the righteous remnant: "The remnant of Israel shall do no unrighteousness And speak no lies, Nor shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth"
Also in Isaiah 53:11 "my righteous servant", will justify many "by his KNOWLEDGE" (not by his blood), in the end days Jews will be a priestly nation that will teach Torah to the masses. The same chapter in Zeph 3:19 it identifies them as the afflicted.
🔶Verse 53:10 says that he will see seed and prolong his days. Jesus had no seed and this cannot be applied to a spiritual seed because the Hebrew word for seed used here is 'zera' which was only used for the literal biological offspring as can be found in Genesis 12:7, 15 :2-4, 15:13, 46:6, Exodus 28:43. On the other hand, the Bible uses the word “banim” for a spiritual seed as used in Deuteronomy 14:1.
And here is another problem, how does God, who has no beginnings nor an end, "prolong his days"?
Does God have a finite existence for which he can prolong his days?
Corroborations with Jwish interpretation:
Jews will have offspring multiplied in the end days: Deut 30:5, Jeremiah 3:16, Ezekiel 36:11, Isaiah 60:22, Zechariah 10:8-9.
The next chapter Isaiah 54 uses the imagery of a barren woman (God's bride, Israel) also described as rejected (54:6) and afflicted city (54:11), transforming from 'barren' to seeing descendents (54:1, 3). The servant's offspring is a key element that emerges after his suffering, a shift from being "few in numbers" (Deut 4:27). (Also Isaiah 49:20-21 again israel barren woman multiplied descendents in end times, described as rejected afflicted despised in previous verses)
Isaiah 65:20 and Zechariah 8:4, talks about physically increasing the lifespan of the Chosen People in the Messianic age, literally prolonging their life (which hasn't happened yet, because Isaiah 53 has not happened yet!) while Jesus had a short lifespan and died in his 30s
🔶Verse 53:12 says that God will give him his portion among the great and he will divde spoils among the strong.
1. If Jesus is God, how did he have his share with both great and ordinary human beings? God does not need God to give him a share with the great because God is the Almighty and He is not comparable to ordinary humans.
2. Why is Jesus among "the great" if he is the greatest?
3. "and he will divide the spoils with the strong," - does Jesus need spoils?
Corroborations with Jwish interpretation:
Ezekiel 39:9-10 explicitly describes the righteous remnant taking spoils from the defeated enemies. And in Zechariah 14:14 righteous remnant sharing in the spoils after divine intervention. In Isaiah 60:5-11 the kings of nations bring spoils to israel. Isaiah 33:23 says "an abundance of spoils will be divided" among the Jews.

infinite more parallels which i havent mentioned
Isaiah 53 is absolutely about Jesus. Just read verse 10:
10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: *when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin* , he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
So if Isaiah 53 is about the nation of Isreal, like they mention in the video, then according to verse 10 the nation of Isreal's soul is going to be a sacrifice for their own sins? When we combine this with other verses in Isaiah 53 we see that this isn't the case. That it is the nation of Isreal that needs to be saved from their sins, and this comes by the sacrifice from another.... and then of course we know who came to sacrifice himself for the sins of others... Jesus Christ. So don't be deceived.
@@jond843 I already mentioned verse 10 in my post, answer the questions i put forth there.
Regarding Asham ('soul offering for sin') Tovia has answered that in the video around timestamp 50:00.
53:10 says that if the Suffering servant admits his mistakes and brings a guilt offering (asham), then he will succeed. The Servant Himself needs to make confession of his crime.
Google: Restitution ASHAM in Hebrew.
What sin did Jesus have to make restitution for?
The Asham is one of 3 types of sacrifices that are brought for sins, and to tell you why this can only fit israel and not JC i would have to give you a whole essay because you need to be taught from point zero, you dont know anything about the tanakh let alone the different intricacies.
Now read everything I said about verse 10 in my original comment and respond to each point

@@jond843it is always the people who can’t spell who defend Jesus.
An unlikely guest considering Justin rightfully labels the Old Testament god as evil and Tovia is a Orthodox Jew. Still, it was a good listen.
I think that it was also very disgusting that he said at 24 minutes that the three hostages looked like they were released from a concentration camp, when we can clearly see they were taken care better than the hundreds of Palestinian prisoners are. That's when I turned this off. He clearly is using his faith in a political context as well. Shameful
You are clearly biased. Don’t speak about the Palestinian Israeli conflict so matter of factly when you are clearly ignorant

Always fun, informative, and interesting to hear: Rabbi Singer! ❤Huge fan. Great interview.
Why didn’t you tell the rabbi his god is imaginary? Jk , I like the rabbi even though he’s an apologist
are you now going to convert to Judaism Justin?
Obviously not
Singer makes my skin crawl with all his chosen people bs
Yep, look him up and his organization. He’s no better than a mega church evangelist, maybe worse. I wish Justin would get an exRabbi or other scholar to discuss. It’s like using a tooth fairy believer to discredit Santa Clause.
@BNJ24 💯
There is no god especially the monster of the Old Testament I find Rabbis Disgustingly!
Its just that people misunderstand it. They werent chosen to go for ice cream, more like chosen to do the dishes. Its a responsibility that no one would want
their scripture says that jews were chosen because they were imperfect and weak in numbers, not because they are superior, as some people percieve it. Obviously the nations will not percieve it properly which is why the torah predicts irrational anomiostity and hatred from the nations towards jews.

OH WOW! THIS is HUUGE!
Huge? An orthodox rabbi living on stolen land stating the obvious beliefs of Jewish people?
W Tovia
This is great. What actually got me questioning was Rabbi’s videos. I’ve been watching Justin’s videos for quite a while now and I’m curious as to what Rabbi would say in defense to the Old Testament God,slavery, grape and annihilation of people.
I’ve watched numerous videos from Rabbi Tovia and he won’t approach his bible with criticism. So like Christians, he will probably become a 🥨 and have to redefine morality and even blame it on culture.
Notice how Justin expertly steered Rabbi Singer away from the topic of the condition of 3 Jewish hostages held in captivity by Hamas. Rabbi Singer consistently brings up the moral atrocities committed against the Jews in his videos. Which is fair. However, he ignore the moral atrocities that the same people have committed against other nations in the Hebrew Bible and is currently committing against the palestinians. The Palestinians are just as related to Abraham as the mixed race blue-eyed people that currently live in Israel. I don’t have a problem with Israel existing as a nation. But what they’re currently doing is without question a moral atrocity against a race of people. I do not understand their hypocrisy.
On the flipside. Why would I ever listen to a rabbi talk about morals? I think there are probly lots of non literal rabbis but tell me what's the difference of "god's" chosen people and the m a s t e r - r a c e? They foster a society that tells each other and their children that they are exceptionally better than the rest of the world.
