One of the greatest DC stories ever created. Grant Morrison wrote hte original comic and he had a very interesting take on the demeanor of the Man of Steel: "I think Superman being who he is would probably be the most relaxed most Zen most chill individual in the known universe because literally NOTHING hurts him." I always thought i was a bit odd how Lex Luthor is always striving for perfection through science, but his ego was the one thing that he couldnt control, leading to his narcissism and his hatred of Superman. Superman was always emotionally intelligent, making him a true alpha, someone who cares about others and usually knows and tries to do the right thing. This story gave us a Lex Luthor arc in which, at the end, Lex Luthor finally ultimately realizes the whole point: there's no one out there but us, and because of that we need eachother to survive. Humans, aliens and otherwise. All he had to see was the basic underpinnings of the wider universe and how everything connects. Once he saw that, he became enlightened beyond his hatred of Superman, and became a good person again at the end of the story. It's kind of brilliant because I dont think anyone else dared to turn Lex into a good guy at the end, but I like that they left room in the story for even a villain so far gone as he was to have some kind of redemption despite the antagonistic nature between him And Superman.
Yes, Superman is officially the first superhero if not So does mark not the creator of facebook as it's not his idea, but in Superman case even the idea is of it's creators. So he is the first, ofcourse they didn't get much money for how much big Superman became, I love Batman the most but Superman literally created the Superhero genre.
I am so happy you checked this film out. The original comic is a masterpiece celebrating what Superman means to the world and what makes him the most influential hero in pop culture. Both this film and the comic the movie is based on made Superman my favourite superhero. the character has helped me during a very dark time in my life, and I will always be grateful for it. If you really want to explore more of the DC Universe. I would also highly recommend other animated and live-action Superman films and the plethora of DC animated films. Another excellent Superman animated movie I highly recommend is *Superman vs The Elite (2012)* which dives into the political and ethical question of whether or not Superman's morality and hopefulness truly matter in today's 21st-century cynical world. Its a great film and honestly, my favourite Superman movie to date

It's a visual shorthand to let you quickly understand a character. But that also lets you do Subversions, for example, Hulk is green with purple pants so you think he's a bad guy. But he's more complicated, sometimes he's a hero, sometimes he's a Force of nature that needs to be stopped. The same thing goes for Black and White. Heros wear White, villains wear black. So Batman was a Subversion.

Each issue of the story focused on one particular labor and facet of this hero. In the end, his greatest feat is in redeeming an irredeemable man. He rehabilitates lex luthor simply by sharing of himself. The saddest part is that Lois wasted her time, not believing that superman was clark kent, or accepting that he was dying, In the end, she concocted a scenario in which she sees superman inside the sun, "fixing it". But we know that there are no gears or levers in the sun. This ending is a lesson for all of us to not waste the time we have, being with the people we love, while we still have them.
What complicates the matter is that Morrison also wrote DC One Million, a story where Superman had to live inside the sun to keep it working, and survived there hundreds of years until he emerged as a nigh-omnipotent golden superman, so a lot of people join those two stories and assume that Superman did live at the end of All Stars.
