I just got this tank a week ago, nice timing. This might be an unpopular opinion, but after perfecting playing in my E100, altering to the 60TP seems quite hard even though it is characteristically similar. Genuinely I was not fond of it in the first 30 games, hated my first 10, got full-hp ammoracked at the third game I almost sold it. The side profile is so bad it gets penned every time, and God forbids you to do any aggressive play because 1 time out of 5 it is ammo racked. The gun's also problematic, one time it hits stupid shots, and the other times it can't hit stupid easy shots. With all things said, I aced it in my second game ironically. I can see why people hype it so much, the gun's decent, the hull-down capacity is insane, can constantly bounce shots, but you need the crew skills and game knowledge to maximize its potential. A weird tank for sure!
Great idea with the colour coded main-points. The x-ray shots were something I hadn't seen before, and I was surprised the ammo racks were not bigger than they were, I guess mine must just be magnetic, because every shot seems drawn to them! The main way I deal with these is to try and H.E. the crap out of them and hope to get support from something bigger
Content suggestion: recommendations for best pairings of Tier X tanks with similarly-crewed Tier VIII premiums, such as the 50TP pr. and 60TP, or LT-432 and T-100 LT. The strategy would be to concentrate XP on a single crew used for both vehicles, one for bonds, one for credits, and both for XP.
This is great content informative, the pro and cons and weaknesses I only knew about the one ammo rack in the front sides so I've learnt something. I like the way it's done and presented It's alot of work behind but keep it up 👍 quality over quantity Mitsirfishi
Hey Max, great Video. But there is something I didn't get: As far as the loadout goes, you take: Rammer, VS or Vents, and ? - Bountyhardening or Experimental Hardening? Other tanks in this kind of detailed showcase would be awesome. Keep it up!
If you have tier 3 exp hardening, take that. If not then either normal hardening (bounty if you have it) or use config. Ammo rack directive on both normal hardening and experimental hardening.
My setup in the 60tp is exp. Survivability t3, bond rammer & bond turbo and I love it. Wierd is if I take anything like vert. Stab. Or vents I seem to never hit anything. That doesn't happen as often if I just embrace the lack of accuracy. Though I have to say I do have the directive smooth ride for my gameplay. It adds to my crew skill so I don't need a vert. Stab. All in all the 60tp treats me quite well. 😂
Honestly I think experimental survival T3 is a must on 60tp and with the new perk system it allows me to not put safe stowage perk as it already increases internal modules by 100% while the skill would give ~30% and I don’t wanna spend on directives too on randoms or onslaught. I’m using exp survival T3, bounty rammer and exp turbo T3 for onslaught … I chose the field mod to reduce dispersion on movements, so got kind of -10% dispersions of turret and moving that is already half of a stab and I’m happy with it… In random in small maps I use the other configuration where I have exp survival t3, rammer and stab and I like that one as well… Also the new skill perfect charge is nice to have when sniping a cupola or on longer distance as brings shell velocity from 900 to 1000 m/s… I know that with hardening and the other field mod I’d have a bit more HP, but I’ve just preferred to trade them for more internal modules durability and a better gun handling!
Im close to getting this tank and i might make a secondary loadout whit cammonet and binnos. This setup was something that i wanted to make a long time ago, when i started grinding this tank.
Thanks for this from a mediocre player who is scratching his head how to make his supposedly legendary 60TP work :) very thorough, and the first few test games with the new equipment are promising!
60TP is awesome. I consider myself a mediocre player and I made it to Silver rank last Onslaught season by playing just 60TP and a couple games in Jpz E100.
The turbo win/loss games is making it so hard to grind because its a struggle to get decent performance for good credits and XP, I had about 30 tanks on my wanted list but the game has killed my enthusiasm and I'm only going to grind for a dozen tanks now, then I'm done with the grindfest of the tech tree, don't care what new content comes into the game, 60TP is still on my wanted list though!
what app are you using for armour stats?., armour inspector doesn't look like that. I didn't find it all that useful.. wish I could "Cherry Pick" a team! Try 50 games losing streak with teams just like that..
Small correction: The 60TP CANNOT over match the roof of the SConq, the roof is 50.8mm which is exacty 152.4mm when multiplied by 3. Pro tip: Because the 60TPs gun is THICC, if you're sidescraping, you can actually use the gun to block your turret ring weak spot. I've caught many shots doing this trick. 😎 EDIT: I stand corrected! Max has proven me wrong, and tanksgg lied to me!
Best HT? Before HE nerf nobody says that.. now someone said that and everyone reapeat that bullshit. Its not even close to be best. Mega weakspots and fucking dramatic gun and his fake pen (nobody will convince me that he have 250 +317 pen) makes this tank in best case "oookkkkkeeeey i can play once".
This tank is complete trash, it's so over rated for nothing. It's gun handling is awful it can't even hit a lower plate 15 meters away, it's armour is bad, weakspots on both the turrent and the upperplate. It's slow, with a terrible turrent traverse speed. Easily the most over rated tank there is in the game.
hi max, can I ask you something? I'm trying to get my win rate up but I don't think it's working :P. Do you have some tips and tricks for me? I'm an aggressive player and I like to play mediums. Greetings from the Netherlands
I personally play a lot of heavies but struggle to do well because I'm impatient and play very aggressively(I openly admit this is a skill issue on my part). I play a mix of mediums and destroyers too though from time to time. What I've found helps me a lot with improving at using a specific tank I like is to look up guides by individual tanks, because the tanks are so diverse now in their play style that just having a general strategy of some sort no longer works for me. Learn your tanks strengths and weaknesses and try to play to them.

60TP is a good competitive tank but at the same time feels so casual and laidback to play. Love it to bits even though I mainly stick to my tier 7-9s

Fire also is not a problem as with the new perk system if you put fire skill you turn off them in -92% of the time so the fire dmg is really low

I remember times when 60tp can counter obj 279 e with HE rounds. 3x60tp platoon was the biggest nightmare for obj 279e players

imho the s conq is still top tier, armor/gun handling/mobility all the same, its just not definitively the best, but still amazing and worth playing

Yes this is a myth that a lot of CCs spread out, like QB and Max. It can only overmatch the hull deck of an sconq and not the turret roof

My experience too. I tried it on the test server and I also found the gun extremely trollish. I had much better games with the IS-4.

If you got bond equipment and tier 3 experimental HP this is the tank to put it on. Bond rammer +bond vents and the reload is closer to 14 seconds 🤣
60 Tp is a very good heavy, BUT the line is just a pain to grind (especially when you are stock)
