Why start a nonsense cat fight in the family over such a petty issue? I am not saying theyll fight over this but you are surely setting a fire which will eventually catch heights. From experience lemme tell you its not easy to "tame" the females in joint families. I have seen brothers eating in one plate to not even talking to each other today. They dont fight or have debates, never, but that charm is surely lost after their wives have come in. Ofcourse brothers are blood their wives are not. So please dont ask ur S-i-Law to pick anything or anyone From the family again.
