Now it's time to prove they can win 1996 All-Filipino and Commissioner's Cups all the way to grand slam. If not losing Jeff Cariaso via sign-and-trade, Alaska could do the feat anew in 1997 (though successfully winning Governor's Cup for fourth consecutive). With Kenneth Duremdes playing his first full year as a Milkmen, they could do another grand slam run if not for 1998 Centennial Team commitment (coached by Tim Cone, alongside three Alaska players). And because of this game, I remember some personal anecdotes.
