No one seems like they want to say it. But this phone is underwhelming. Other than the camera what is there. The Sd865 isn't really that much of an upgrade over the sd855/sd855+. What in the play store can you not get done with the S10/S10+. Exactly. And this 120 Hz thing is being touted as the second coming. I'll wait and see what the Note 20 does. This so far is a huge let down. A $1400+ let down. At this price point you should be able to run desktop class apps and PS4 quality games.
I feel like these reviews are too enamored over folding phones because they go through multiple phones a yeah and it’s new to them but for the everyday consumer that keeps their phone it’s not much of a blip I’m more interested in how a phone effects my day to day not how I can make flip be thinker in my pocket because it folds vs how my 6.5 in phone fits fine and last me the hole day with great performance . The everyday consumer doesn’t care if there phone folds it doesn’t add anything it doesn’t solve and issue . Get me a chipset that need less power so I put in a huge battery, give me an amazing Camera , give me great signal performance, give me software that can go three to 4 years vs just 2 after pay upwards of $1000 instead $ 1300 for a flip that no one is going to keep .
everyone mentions how HIGH this prices are and yes they are but how come no one ever mentions the trade in deals?? to me this is also a good topic to mention i upgrade phones yearly some times even 2x a year galaxy S and then the note and i never pay FULL price since i keep my phones in PERFECT conditions from one year to another. i got a $700 trade in credit for my N10+ and only payed $700 for the S20 ultra and to me $700 for that phone is a steal.
I agree, every reviewer so far has not mentioned that, but my guess is that most people buy it with an existing subscription or a new subscription to upgrade or renew their contracts.

Very nice/My favourite s20 review! You're on point by saying that the s20 phones are just boring now, given the new wave of foldables & chinese concept phones. Note 20 will be my final "traditional" flagship phone. Coming 2021 will be all about foldables and other new form-factors.

But other than scrolling through the UI what will this benefit, and this only at FHD+. That 100x space zoom is pure marketing. The images it produces looks like a watercolor painting. I'll wait and see what the Note 20 does. This so far is a huge let down. A $1400+ let down. At this price point you should be able to run desktop class apps and PS4 quality games.
Did I miss the part where they answer if it multitasks?
all Samsung phones have multitask? its a been a feature for a very long time. nothing to discuss.
The best samsung yet
I honestly just want them to bring the new features to the s10
At 5:15 I thought there war ants under my screen
everyone mentions how HIGH this prices are and yes they are but how come no one ever mentions the trade in deals?? to me this is also a good topic to mention i upgrade phones yearly some times even 2x a year galaxy S and then the note and i never pay FULL price since i keep my phones in PERFECT conditions from one year to another. i got a $700 trade in credit for my N10+ and only payed $700 for the S20 ultra and to me $700 for that phone is a steal.
I agree, every reviewer so far has not mentioned that, but my guess is that most people buy it with an existing subscription or a new subscription to upgrade or renew their contracts.
@@Marceous exactly even if you get it on a contract you dont pay 1.4 right of the bat you pay like 23$ or so for 30 month its a very small % of people that actually pay the phone completely at once and no one ever mentions this facts or deals that y i never go by any reviews i just look at them to get more hype for my new phone lol but never take their opinion into my own decision.
Traded my N10+ for this too
LG V60 is the best phone of the 2020 you can buy. 2 displays for the lower price of a cheapest s20. Samsung has the best marketing team, to fool masses.
@@MindaugasSnegirevas lmfao "ooo two screens so it must be better"
I was all for the Ultra until I held one, heavy as a brick and the weight is high up by the camera module, that will get tiresome to hold really fast. I'm considering the S20+ only because the S20 doesn't have the complete 5G network capability.
Tiresome? What are you, a 3 yr old girl?
Sean Doc he is a 👶
@@seandoc8463 No, but I have 3yr old girl sized hands and I use my phone all day for work communications and having to balance that extra unsupported weight all day gets old fast. I sold my note10+ and went back to my S8 for the same reason.
@@treizTUBE you sold a note 10 bbn plus for an s8? That's just stupid.
@@itzpayday1238 I already had the S8, and yeah I thought so too at first, but honestly aside from some what worse wireless reception and battery I haven't had any issues. My plan all along was to go back to the S8 and get a S11 or whatever they call the next regular S phone. The only reason I'm considering getting the S20+ over the regular S20 is the full 5G capability, and honestly I doubt they will have milimeter wave in my area in the next year so I may just get the regular S20 anyway.
Very nice/My favourite s20 review!
You're on point by saying that the s20 phones are just boring now, given the new wave of foldables & chinese concept phones.
Note 20 will be my final "traditional" flagship phone. Coming 2021 will be all about foldables and other new form-factors.
So far the foldable phones are both terrible hopefully there is improvement with no crease in the middle and better specs inside.
Phase detect is dual pixel. Unless you mean contrasts detection
Theres an interesting perspective difference between content creators who review tech constantly and average people who just upgrade every year or two. He says the s20 ultra is boring, I say it's never been more interesting. Also the flip and fold stuff seems a little gimmicky but what do I know, i dont own the thing.
mason woods what’s so exciting about it other than the camera? And the camera itself isn’t worth $1400.00! Might as well get a s10 Plus or a note 10 Plus
@@moe1203 I'm excited because I have the galaxy s8 so every aspect of the phone is 2x if not 3x better. Everything. Battery is 5000 mah, the phone is double the size which I like, better screen to body ratio, massive camera upgrade, longer battery life, better speakers, etc. I love smartphones in general as well. So worth it for me personally.
No mention of the fingerprint scanner? Better or worse than last year? Also it's apparently higher up now?
It's exactly the same as the note 10, they didn't go with the upgraded Qualcomm sensor.
I have the 10 plus I don't want to do a lateral move to their 20 +but don't know if the ultras worth it going from $41 to $58 a month on the flex lease. I mean is that phone really worth almost $60 a month compared to $41 with my 10 + ?
Shit I remember you from pocket now
I have iphone xs max. Not sure should i upgrade to this s20 ultra. I kinda liking this phone
Is the $1400 S20 almost 6 times better, will it battery last almost 6 times longer (not based on this review) , will I keep the phone almost 6 times longer, is it almost 6 times faster, can it do almost 6 times more, will the pics be almost 6 times clearer (after Samsumg fixes the focus problem) than my $240 Moto Z4?
John B who cares? Why do people buy a $100k over a $10k car? Such a crap comment
@@TheM275 Want vs. need or common sense my friend...
You like cheap phones. We get it. Some like to have the latest tech. Don't need it, just want it.
Just waiting for a s20+ review, if s20 ultra is only one day of use. I do wonder what the 20+ battery life can be with it's 4500 mah battery.
i guess its the same, since screen is smaller too.
*_Samsung S20 ultra is so damn perfect .i just love it_*
What’s that weather app on the home screen?
I pre-ordered few days ago still waiting. ..somewhat patiently lol...I prefer wireless ear buds so I'm good without the jack
Ill stick with my GE wall phone, thanks.
Still using OnePlus 6 (128gb/8gb) and it is dope 👌 still smooth af like day 1. Received 2 major android upgrades (9 & 10). Though camera seems to be degraded after android 10 update.
that translates to $2,000 in australian dollars thats for the 128gb, 12gb RAM version. the price jumps to $2,249 for the 500gb, 16gb RAM version.
Ultra here I come 🛫
Can Samsung send me a phone to do a review?
#S20 is so ultra it's Ultron
You gonna review the other two?
itsyolislife exactly. They youtubers why didn’t they buy all the versions ?
@@moe1203 Do you really think all RUclipsrs are rich, you're sorely mistaken. And the units they review are the ones Samsung sends to them, if they get the S20 Ultra then that's what they review.
I think given the obscene price the Huawei even without Google bloatware is the one to go for... Love their p30pro... Used to buy Samsung but these prices are taking us for fools
And all the fools that actually believed the hype Samsung blow up everyone's ass for people to actually pay $1400 just for a phone lol.
I'm torn from picking between the s20 ultra and the z flip 3.
It sux that the best camera setup is only on the Ultra model. Not everyone wants to put a tablet in their pocket
All of you expert on smartphones maybe you could build a perfect phone for us?🤔
You really made it sound like Samsung didn't get the periscope idea from Huawei. bravo! 👏👏👏
I think they bought the Israeli optics company back in January 2019, 4 months before the p30 pro.
It's a good looking phone, don't know what some are on about.
The camera unit is outrageous... not sure if ugly is the right word, but definitely outrageous.
@@Ytremz I get it, I like it.
@@Ytremz that's exactly why I love it. Its huge, it exerts sheer power. It looks *powerful*
The price increase has become ridiculous. People need to speak with their wallets!
I dig your turtle neck shirt, very ultra
I think Samsung will fix camera issues with a software update before the device hits the markets.
How can Asus sell ROg 2 with a color accurate 120hz oled, class leading stereo speakers, headphone jack, 2 usbc ports, 8gb/ 128gb for $580, with only the processor and gpu being about 20% slower?
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE REVIEW THE REGULAR SIZE S20 IM SICK AND TIRED OF SEEING NOTHING BUT THE ULTRA
Did he say "microsoft forza" ???
Nothing about this phone is worth the price, no significant upgrades since Note8 AND you get a nice hole in the screen... no thanks
When u actually experience it then u will see
@@footballtalk4857 In the UK there are shortages due to the shutdowns in S Korea, Japan and China. Over a month wait and this is provisional so could be a lot longer with coronavirus getting worse. Samsung may have missed the boat by the time most people can buy these as the OP8, Xperia 1 and LG V60 are all due around April. They won't get their free run at that time and consumers will see the choice, S20 Ultra at $1400 or the LG V60 at $900 or the Xperia 1 at $800? If Huawei gets their License back (rumour is that they will) then the P40 Pro will also be arriving and that will be selling very cheap in the UK so that Huawei can recover volumes. The S20 line may not be the turnaround Samsung was hoping for, though hopefully by then Samsung would have sorted out the many software issues.
@@andyH_England that's the uk they are other major markets that Samsung sell in one of the biggest is America is actually is half the sales for the S series so even if there are problems with the uk that still have other markets
@@footballtalk4857 The delays may be Exynos versions, not sure? No idea if the US have backorders.
This is going to sound boring but I still really like my s10 plus. Still a really good phone.
Accidental touches is just a nitpick , I don’t get it, people are so spoiled and need something to complain about, like it ever happens .. I have a note FE and it’s one of the most curved displays out there
BTW, im upgrading to the ULTRA from the samsung S3...........
You should wait for note
@@jennietv5015 Yes, thanks to covid-19 (and now my dog being diagnosed with diabetes) i havent upgraded yet, as i cant justify the spending of that kinda of $$$$ during this uncertain times.
Is it better to buy s20 plus 4g or 5g variant
It have 4G and 5G as standard
Awesome Dear...👌👍👌 Good Job 🥰
What weather widget is that?
I only watch video if done by Alex Dobie
Android Central Alex Dobie Certified Video!
I am an engineer by my undergrad degree and all this BS about 60 vs 120 Hz refresh rate is a bit of a joke. What is this being used as a distraction from SINCE you cannot take advantage of it at maximum screen resolution? IF 120 Hz was available at the maximum screen resolution that would be different. You people are a laugh riot.
Not gonna be paying 1.4 grand for a flagship that only offers 2 years of updates. The S8 is easily capable of running android 10 yet it is already considered obsolete by sammy. Same follows for the s9 next year and s10 in 2022. Shame on them. You can easily get much better software support from other manufacturers (e.g oneplus, google) at a much lower cost with similar performance.
Revolee go with iPhone 11 pro
Should I upgrade from the note 10 need help
Wait for the note 20 or even better note 21 will use 5nm architecture in it's chip that will be a true next gen upgrade.
Of course no, stop being a perfect consumer for Samsung by not throwing over 1k every 6 months to them..
Your Note 10 is a perfectly fine phone for at least 1 year or more.
I do like the 120hz screen but I think I'll stick with the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro for like half the price. The S20U is a true beast, although I agree a bit boring.
What's the watch ?
Feels like a tank, and looks like it too, god is this phone unattractive !
And the HDR halos are one of the worst I've seen recently, the sake goes for oversharpening.
Processing is bad this year, looks like they focused more on the numbers then the thing that matters more.
Im sad that dual pixel auto focus is gone
Most people will get the regular s20 I'm keeping my s10+ not worth the upgrade for what I use my phone for
Don't worry guys it will be under 350 5 yers from now
