In shock after over JT’s death, Toby turns to Liberty, convinced that his somber funeral isn’t what JT would’ve wanted. . Liberty agrees, and the two grief-stricken friends plan to throw a celebratory memorial for JT at Degrassi. But he’s hiding a secret - Toby reveals to Manny that JT was on his way to tell Liberty that he still had feelings for her. Manny convinces him not to tell, but as he and Liberty get closer, Toby has to decide which secrets were meant to be spilled. When Jesse says three little words to Ellie that she totally didn’t expect, she realizes she’s got to tell him a few of her own - ones he’s not going to like.
Season Six of Degrassi is daring to be the most provocative and intense season yet, as the series continues to address issues and topics that face adolescents and young adults today. For the first time, the Degrassi series follows some of its graduates through university as they face the ups and downs of post-secondary life. This season, Ellie, Paige, Marco and Craig experience a whole new series of challenges at another level. The new school year has Degrassi Community School’s students caught up in a vicious school rivalry, with life-altering affects for some of its students. Ellie embarks on a hot new romance with an older man while Jimmy, confined to a wheelchair, explores news ways to deal with his sexuality. It's true, but I also think of it from her perspective. She was a single mother in highschool and he cared for her a way a lot of guys her age didn't. Deep down she knew that JT loved Liberty, but she wasn't willing to let go of what she had with him.

Well, Mia was also grieving too. While I felt really, REALLY bad for Liberty (And I ship Liberty and J.T. all the way!), I know Mia had feelings for J.T. as well. People deal with grieving differently, there are those who lash out at others (Mia) and some who just become numb due to shock (Liberty) as you said. But Mia let it go in the end.

No one should be mad at Mia. She's dealing with it in her own way. Everyone Grieves differently. And this is how she is grieving. Just like that's how Liberty is grieving. Her anger is denial/hurt. I feel bad for Mia too. She lost her boyfriend and it seemed like no one cared.

I honestly feel like they rushed these episodes the last one and this one. Because it's not very emotional and it didn't really hit me the way that the school shooting did. Just feels like they didn't really try... I loved JT but this didn't feel emotional enough.

@@azzz7279 I don't really think he was trying to hit on her. They both just lost one of the most important people in their lives and sometimes people seek that level of closeness with each other. It doesn't make it right, but it happens sometimes.
I think this was the beggining of the end 🤷♀️🤦♀️ the writers ran out of idea and adding Lakehurst was pointless 👀 the last couple seasons were dark season 4 shooting then season 5 was showing the students trying to move forward than season 6 this came out of nowhere .
