Just a few points of clarification. Jin has parents and older siblings; he is the baby of the family and was well taken care of. He was actually 20 years old when he recorded the vlog (Korean age was 22). Jin joined Big Hit when he was 18. He spent the first year between university and trainee practice, so he was not with his family.
Jungkook was 13 when he auditioned and when he left Busan and his family and entered the dorm.

does anyone know if any of trainees from other companies ever talked like BTS did about their problems and how hard it was when they were preparing for debut or training, it feels like it was rare that someone voiced their opinion like that and not being afraid of being punished or cut? I'm not in to any groups that was active around when BTS started, and how is it with new groups is it easier for them to talk about it if it wasn't done before.? I hope I make sense!

My favorite member is; who ever is holding the mic. I'm what's known as 0T7. I like all the members. Right now, I'm going through a Suga phase and I've had major love for Jimin but one time or another they have all been on top of the leader board.
Yes, you are getting it. Most kpop idols were created but because of BIG HITS lack of money BTS were different. BIG HIT couldn't afford much back then. Because of lack of money, BTS were allowed to produce, write, their own music. Other Kpop idols were corporate and sang what the company gave them to sing. They were cookie cutters being massed produced. Because of BTS, now groups get to write their own music. Around 100 groups each year were coming out of S. Korea. If you think about the ODDS that BTS faced, there was no way they were supposed to make it. The BIG 3 companies controlled the Entertainment business. It was only a fluke that BTS got to debut. Another group dropped out and BTS was a last minute filler. BTS also got on the same page early on. Like the musketeers, BTS was all for 1 and 1 for all. They could physically do things most others couldn't. Jimin had gymnastic training, so he could fly through the air and do tricks & stunts nobody had ever seen, so they could incorporate incredible stunts into their act. Also, other groups were not in sync like BTS. There was a difference in the performance level. BTS understood to be the best they had to practice hard. Jimin only practice for only 6 months before the debut. BTS were looked down on because they had different ways to rehearse Now other groups practice, write, etc. like BTS.

@@ItsFlamoFTW I completely get it. Jimin brought me into the ARMY! I think it's because he has so many intriguing sides to his personality. He's extremely intelligent but he too got straight A's in school. He's so strong, have black belts in Taekwondo & Kendo. He's caring. He another who is right their when his team is hurting. He is vulnerable, he is sexy, and he is so talented. singing dancing, writing, producing, and the boy can rap too. I completely get it!

They've collabed with artists like Nicki Manaj, Megan Thee Stallion, Juice WRLD, Desgiiner, Wale, and J. Cole! (also please try not to talk during the video, youre missing a lot)

This is a great series! Aneesa (the creator of The Rise of Bangtan) shared that she has been working on this series (her labor of love) for over 3 years! She is taking viewer on a journey step-by-step from BTS' perspective not looking back on their days but living through them (with them). She edits their content to allow BTS to speak their thoughts, through their experiences at the time because BTS has been documenting themselves since BEFORE their debut, so there is A LOT of material to edit down to tell their story! She also gives an overview of the KPop history for those who are not familiar with the industry. She uses clips from different video clips of other idols/ journalists interviews to try to give a broader perspective of the industry. Her skill as a professional video editor really shines through. Amazing work! I think many ARMY really like this series (besides it being extremely well made), she doesn't try to interpret what "she thinks" BTS is trying to say, she just shows the viewers exactly what they said and shared about what their thoughts were at the time. She is an "OG" KPop fan and BTS fan since pre-debut! She also shared that BTS has been the light in her darkness for many years now. *(Cr: "FY" on yt)*
I think it's important to notice the differences between BTS' worries and the other trainees worries. BTS' were worried about their own personal skills (not dancing well enough, song worries, etc), about not getting attention when they debut due to their small company, not having money, etc. While the other trainees seem to be living in fear of being cut from the company at any moment if they make one mistake, worrying about weight quotas, etc. BTS stayed until late hours because they WANTED to, while the other trainees HAD to. Obviously BTS had things they had to do too, they could've not made it to debut as Jimin almost did due to short training, but instead of using that as a fear to hold over them Bighit seemed to use it to encourage them to work harder and improve themselves. BTS were allowed to make mistakes without worrying they'd be thrown out of the company.
I'm very glad that they all signed with Bighit, and that Bighit has caused a shift in the Kpop industry, lots of newer companies are giving their groups more freedom and treating them better due to BTS' success. These companies see that idols don't need to be punished and forced to do things in order to succeed, BTS are proof that freedom and happiness should be the most important thing. *(Cr: "Shannon" on yt)*
Now plz understand this 1st & 2nd episode shows two sides, one is typical k-pop system and how the labels/industry work, whereas subtle hints of BTS and bighit being contradictory different is shown, BTS is different from other K-pop groups and BigHit is different from other idol music companies. These first few episodes can be misleading because it makes you think BTS management follows these guidelines the other idol members from other companies are talking about, but BTS and BigHit don't do those things. Notice how when it is said idols don't have a lot of creative freedom, you see Namjoon and Yoongi writing lyrics, or when it says idols have phone bans or something, you see the BTS members on their phones, or how when idols say they aren't allowed to go outside the dorm, you see Yoongi walking around freely. It can be a confusing thing for new ARMY to make note of, but PLEASE notice these differences. It is vital to how BigHit runs differently, and therefore why BTS is so different from other idol groups from the very start. *(Cr: "Kayla Kulik" on yt)*

I found out from watching one of the videos that at one point in BTS’ early days Big Hit ran out of money and told all the trainees and members to vacate their dorms. BTS refused to leave and stayed and somehow Big Hit found a small infusion of cash to keep them going a little longer. Flash forward to 2024 and now Big Hit (now Hybe) is the largest KPop agency in SK.

Hello OT7 Silver ARMY here, or what RM calls "Dope Old People", referring to people that are older that are BTS fans. My husband and I are 57 year old BTS ARMY, and proud of it.
*Please watch the videos to the very end. It's not spoiling anything. The dedicated ARMY that made this docu-series, Aneesa, put a lot of hard work into this, and made it so you would watch it. And this was her passion project. Please watch the videos to the end. You are missing important information. Don't be so quick to stop the videos*
I think you misunderstood JIN, it's not that he didn't have parents, he had to move from his home town to Seoul. It's like moving from Northern California to Southern California. That's 6 hours away. All seven members had to move from their homes to Seoul, and Jungkook was actually 13 when he moved to Seoul and joined the group (add two years to their ages for Korean age.) They debuted when they were ages 15 to 20. Jungkook just turned 26 September 1, 2023, and Jin turned 30 December 4, 2022.
BTS would release mixtapes to tracks from well known songs with their own lyrics. and upload them to SoundCloud. They also have videos on RUclips. I can link you the song they were rapping to. and Jin covered the hook. I'm linking the one from the other Introduction you did as well, the Graduation Song.

yes that true. BTS took their music and expanded. now they are doing all types of styles and they are not afriad to try new things because they have done it the whole time and we keep coming back for more.
name one other group or artist that can do that? lets say taylor did a heavy metal song. idt her fans would like that. and coldplay even said he was sad that he felt stuck in the same type of music. and he became fond of BTS for that reason that they wasn´t afraid of trying new things so he was inspired to do the same.
idk if he made something diffrent since but they made a song togehter called my universe and have been really good freinds since. chris martin even wrote a song for Jin when he had to enlist. a goodbye song for army called the astronaut it is so beautiful. and he sang the song on coldplays concert in november infront of 60k people it was really special.

    • @tracydowd4013
      @tracydowd4013 Год назад

If you are using Taylor Swift as an example, she actually did a remix version of a song that is metal, and played the electric guitar herself for a song of hers, and played it in concert. I would say that Taylor Swift is the type of artist that I could honestly say treats her fans well, and always thanks them, has evolved over time and includes many genre's in her music now. And she writes and composes her own songs. She is also genuine, and has had to deal with a lot of hate on her journey. She also uses her voice to speak out for important issues. She couldn't do that when she was in the Country beginnings, but has later in her career.
So yeah, there are many other artists you could say that about, and she in no way does it to the level that BTS does, in any sense. So I'm just saying. Taylors fans embrace her music just like ARMY's embrace BTS's music. But it is different worlds apart. But i would say she is a good example of an artist that grows and changes, and is not afraid to speak up on issues that are controversial. Genre's I know of that she's covered, Country, POP, Rock, Hip Hop, R&B, and Folk music. I think Coldplay is a great example of a music group that has many similarities to BTS in their openness, and genuineness. I love their friendship with guys.

Its not about being out of shape , they have an equation ie height minus 120 in kg is considered as the ideal weight for female idols . So if an idol is 160 cm allowed weight is only 40 which is around 15.5 in bmi scale meaning they are supporting underweight and malnourishment . I have been following kpop for a long time even bfr bts was born as a grp. K industry is brutal. Esp the big 3 grps sm , yg, and jyp .

BTS sold out SoFi stadium in LA in 46 minutes and Wembley stadium 90,000 seats in a little less than 2 hours...
Psy is a powerhouse performer in Korea, 4 to 6 hour shows full of energy.. He's got lots of good songs and a song written by suga, That That.. That part when Jin was talking about not having his parents this is because when you become a trainee you move into a dorm at the company and all you do is train and don't really have contact with your family for awhile... i don't know if this is the right thing to watch for you, you don't seem to be able to concentrate and read for more than 10 seconds. I'm not being mean, I just don't think it's the right series for you. You would be missing half of the informationss, so there is no use. If this is not a mentally or medical thing, please take my advice. You missed a lot of text and increadible video footage bc of this.
-you stopped it too early, after the teasers for the next episods, there always will be some extra footage from the chapter at the end. You missed J-Hopes birthday this time
-don't look at the camera every five seconds
-pause if you gonna make a longer comment
-rewind it if you missed something or want to look at the subtitles but not miss the video

It's fine to check out Black Pink. They have some good songs and the members themselves are cute and fun.
Black Pink's fandom are called Blinks and Blinks and ARMYs are sworn enemies. It's very common knowledge that Blinks are possibly the most toxic fandom but thats up for debate.
There are also other kpop groups like Stray Kids, Ateez, and TXT that are super popular right now. All of them have their own story to tell but let me tell you this.. NONE of their stories, will ever compare to BTS.
