Dude, had my Optima with the Breech Plug out and the action opened like you did when your gun was in the cradle. When I ran the rod down the bore the brass jag caught the top of the receiver in front of the hammer and left a nice gouge. So much for brass being softer than steel bs and won't harm anything. Just trying to save you from a few cuss words and unneccesary anger.
Just a FYI but that hollow point isn't solid copper but rather copper plated. Basically a super thin layer covering the lead bullet. The new Hornady Bore Drivers are at least an actual Copper Jacket like most centerfire bullets. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with them, just sharing a little info that hopefully helps.
Good shooting. I have been using the 245 gr. power belt with the green tip and 100 grs. of 777 pellets. I Have been getting 1.5 inch groups out of my Wolf at 100 yds. I just picked up some white hot pellets can't wait to try them when the wind goes down here in WY What kind of scope are you using? Good luck on your hunt.

Probably would've been a safer move to turn on the go pro downrange before aiming the loaded gun right where you were walking to.
