How fun though! I just happened to be making more of these to sell stuff anyard sale with other items I've made, which seem to be piling up, so I need to do something with them. I had a new pack of these tissues, and they happened to have the opening on the top. So perfect timing I came upon this video too, after wstching the previous one.
Brilliant!! I have been looking for a pattern to do a top opening pouch for tissues for years. I am so excited to be able to make these!! You are the BEST!!
Oh my goodness, I couldn't leave well enough alone either. I did a French seam as well. It didn't work the first time. 😊❤ But, I kept at it. I just needed a bigger accent fabric. 😊
🎉 Excellent job as usual. I really like this one. I have noticed lately Kleenex sell packet tissues half the size now. Tissue the same size I think, however, the packet is half the size. Thank you for sharing!!!
Great job, and 12 minutes. All mine are side opening. But now I have two tissue holder patterns. 😊❤ I sell quite a bit of my stuff. I'm glad you figured this out. 😊 Thanks Christine
This is fantastic! Thank you so much for figuring this out! I'll be trying this. I just was looking at my tissue packs and saw that you are right...they are all top loading.
I am a subscriber. Thank you for this tutorial. It is so nice and neat. I usually don’t box the corners or do French seams, but I like the look of them. Great idea for the clip too! Thank you. 👏👏🧵
Thanks Christine enjoyed the video glad you have worked it out i got half way 😁was so much easier than i thought it would be have a nice day can now make some
Thanks, yet again. I will be making these for stocking stuffers. I watch all of your tutorials, and I suppose I aught to post some photos. Kathleen in Canada
Fantastic, most of our tissues open at the top here in the states as well. I am still selling the side slots but this is another great way to make them. Thanks again for your enjoyable and educational videos.
Wonderful idea! I'm definitely going to try these as its nearly winter and cold & flu season is upon us! Great job working it out, this version is so perfect for the tissues. I also think it will be great to put my asthma pump in and hang on the outside of my bag so it's easier to find instead of digging for ages in my handbag. 😂
Thanks Christine, I sort of worked one out like this a while ago. I did see a lady make the other one you did and she put a length ways slit in the tissue packet and put the tissues in with the slit to the top. 😊
Thank you Christine, I could not work out how to do this and now I don’t have too. These are great gifts, I do them for. back to school gifts with matching pencil case and book cover,
Hi Christine, I have just finished your top tissue pouch. I am so happy. I did want to make them for Xmas presents but my machine is playing up. Thank you so much.
I have not seen any with a top opening yet, but I live under a rock. But… I think I have a better idea for a pattern now though. I’ll have to think on it then I’ll share it on your FB page.
How do you use the green snap/grommet setter in the background? Does it have different attachments? I recently received the exact same one from a friend but not sure how to use the different attachments and what to use it for. Thank you for filming your videos and the excitement you bring to the sewing world.
Thanks Christine for all your thoughts, but you just have to take the tissues out of the packaging to solve the problem. This also makes the using much easier because 2 packagings are not needed. 🤔
Then your touching the tissues with your hands and I wouldn't use the tissues to my face after being handled by any person. I say leave in packet more hygienic.
. I've used front slit opening tissue holders before. I just slit the front of the tissue pack right up the front. The tissues are very easy to grasp and they come out cleanly. Will give the top opening pouch a go, probably no difference in it? E❤
An easier way to box the corners on these tissue pouches is to insert the unopened package of tissues while the pouch is turned inside out. The corners can be pinched the exact amount. I put a wonder clip on each corner and sew the seam to box the corners.

Love these and your tips. Yes, leaving the tissues in their original packaging for cleanliness for selling. Thank you. I will be making these. Too
Thanks Mary😁
Clever girl well done😊
haha, thanks Erica. A viewer on facebook gave me the inspiration😁
Hi Christine, I have just finished your top tissue pouch. I am so happy. I did want to make them for Xmas presents but my machine is playing up. Thank you so much.

Looking forward to seeing them Barbara😁
That’s really interesting I have never seen the tissue packets are open from the top before.
The small packs in Australia are all like that
@@queenslanddiva And in the UK too.
@@queenslanddiva I’m in Canada and all the ones I’ve ever seen open on the flat side. I couldn’t say if it’s like that all over the country though
They changed here several years ago😁
Brilliant. Ive been wondering when you would come up with this fantastic solution❤🇦🇺
It's been a work in progress for a vey long time Natalija😁

That's a perfect solution when the tissues are your own, but when selling them, I have to keep them sealed for hygiene reasons😁
. I've used front slit opening tissue holders before. I just slit the front of the tissue pack right up the front. The tissues are very easy to grasp and they come out cleanly. Will give the top opening pouch a go, probably no difference in it? E❤
I don't think they really matter Eileen. Most people would probably discard the plastic wrapper when refilling😁
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs ♥️♥️. E♥️
When I need a tissue I don't have time to fiddle with nice covers. LOL.
haha, but they're so cute😁

Can cut the tissue packet other way too
You sure can😁
hi there how would you put a pocket in the back to put hand cream in it ??
I did another video a couple of weeks ago with a pocket in the back😁
What size are you swivel clips?
The small ones are usually 1/2"
Love it. 😉❤️
