I bought all the Don Mock stuff when I got serious in high school (I'm 44) all his stuff is great, I got his artful arpeggios first and helped me immensely. In the late late 80' and early 90's this was the only stuff I had to progress with , I did have a student take off with my Don Mock Fusion book from what I believe is the hotline series as Well as the Steve freeman Jazz-rock which are great just to play through. They are out of print if you happen to know of anyone with those books I would love to get a copy. Keep up informing everyone Levi, once I figure out Patreon I'll join your group. You are helping the younger generation more than they know.
Levi, do you know any place where is it still available in DVD format? The Amazon doesn't work anymore. I couldn't find it elsewhere either..Thanks in advance!
Gonzalo Olivera Alves absolutely love it - we covered all the solos in my patreon group a while back. Will feature it in future if I can buy the DVD! (It's a bit overpriced)
Levi Clay Cool. I have all his stuff and it's pretty unique, maybe less so nowadays but at the time he came out with it no one was dealing with out there stuff like that in mainstream gtr tuition. It's funny, cos at the time I thought yeah it's wild and that, but maybe not easy to use it a musical context but then when I managed to track down his albums (not easy to do) he actually walks the walk for real! I've transcribed him on my channel. Legend.
Hi, I'm trying to buy this DVD but it says it's unavailable. I've looked online and can't seem to find it anywhere. Can someone help? thanks....I really want to check out the video....there are some clips on You Tube but I would like to see the whole thing.
I personally know Don Mock.. he lives in Seattle between Boeing field and sea tac airport.. he has all of this material at his house.. I'll go by and see if I can get any from him...
I studied privately with Pat about a year after he released those videos. He had me play the Abe Rivera guitar he used for our lessons. Sitting with him and going through his concepts was surreal and an amazing experience.
Speaking of great teachers, Keith Wyatt's videos are also quite good especially if you are a beginner who wants to learn blues. Beyond Basics - Blues Rhythm Chops and Rockin the Blues videos are excellent! I agree with you that Don Mock is a great teacher and player!
Keith Wyatt was more or less how I learned to play guitar when I was a small child. I had so many of those videos done by players like himself or Nick Nolan; they were such amazing teachers for me as I was learning.
Guys! I'd like to add this DVD to my collection (I've already bought it online), so if you're willing to sell it, pls send me a message! Thx!
Krisztián Lovrek pinned so maybe you get lucky!
Oh, thanks man, really appreciate it!
I took lessons from Don Mock in 1975 in Sesttle he was fantastic teacher
I used to watch his jazz trio play back then too
Jealous!

I studied personally and privately w/ both Don Mock and Howard Roberts.
Howard was the best. and this vid is great
man... I can only imagine how cool that must have been!
I hear where Jimmy Herring was getting some of his ideas when he was at MI way back when. Very cool.
Definitely gonna get this one, seems to be right up my alley. I loved his rhythm chops video so this one is a no brainer.

Don is king!
What do you think about Carl Verheyen's 'Intervallic Rock'? Lots of valuable licks and ideas there.
Gonzalo Olivera Alves absolutely love it - we covered all the solos in my patreon group a while back.

Hi Levi, I'm a big Joe Diorio fan, have you checked out his intervallic books? I find them great for an occasional chops tune up!
yeah - hoping to talk about his video too

I had a shitty teacher so yeah... DVD's and books ❤❤❤
Man, you must be looking through my closet! How about the John Schofield DVD? The Pat Martino videos? Greg Howe?
both will be talked about, but they're not top of my list! Pat's ones are like rocket science! haha

Man, that's cool!!!
Man, you are one lucky guy!
