Everyone entitled to their own opinion but to me Mariah don't do too much especially if you compare her to most gospel singers that Johnathan McReynolds probably would be out here giving praise to. He really didn't say that she does too much I think he said either his mom or his grandma would've said that. Either way it's just crazy cause Im pretty sure his mom and grandma probably listens to a lot of Gospel singers like Kim Burrell and The Clark Sisters and wouldn't have said that about them, but actually thinks Mariah does too much when most gospel singers and church ppl are out here doing all that exaggerated screaming and growling all the time and wanna call it "squalling" to make it sound better then saying screaming.... And another thing gospel singers literally riff everything, especially if they can't hit the note, they play it off with runs, and church ppl use all that exaggerated vibrato all the time but Mariah is doing too much??? Mariah's runs don't be overdone or exaggerated and like most of those gospel singers that even get a lot of praise from for their vocal styles. Church ppl probably just mad cause Once upon a time Mariah could out sing 98% of the Gospel industry. If Mariah does too much then Burrell, KCS, Twinkie and Leandria do too then. And even though she not a gospel singer I will even say Fantasia does too much but I bet they love all this women though.

Very enjoyable! You were absolutely correct. "God is so much bigger and inclusive when it comes to Music. I clearly remember when I first came to Christ, I did an arrangement of my favorite hymn "Great is Thy Faithfulness" I sang and performed it on an Oberheim synth with really nice pads, very dynamic. (Quincy Jones used this synth a lot). One of the elder ladies at church said "I liked the singing but I could do without that synthesizer in church" I was so perplexed because I know the word says "Let EVERYTHING that has breath Praise the Lord" And truly if the trees are instructed to clap their hands it truly includes any instrument including a Synth!
